Without getting into an extremely subjective conversation about one's opinions of the film, I watched Superman Returns for the first time yesterday and before I even eat another meal I must collect the finest poster available for the film. I've checked eBay and Impawards and Google and Thierry's Collection (No Superman Returns? Really?) for image references and have found several that I really like. But aside from the US Teaser/Final, I have also really taken a liking to this image:

Now this image is taken from Impawards, who is notorious for including all sorts of promotional images that never necessarily make it into posters. Sometimes they even include Mondo prints in their database with no specification of such details. So I'm curious to see if anybody has actually seen, or owns, this poster. Is this German (or Dutch)? Was it ever printed elsewhere?

Also, on another note, I originally liked this Bus Shelter quite a bit until I realized Superman was cradling Lois Lane in space. Of all the things to nitpick about the entire Superman universe, I'm choosing to nitpick the fact that Lois Lane cannot breathe in space. What an ill-conceived poster.

and Thierry's Collection (No Superman Returns? Really?)

You made me wonder whether I had anything on the title or not.  And I do.  Not much, because the movie REALLY blows, but a few things I collected prior to the movie opening.

The last 2 are French bus stops.

I must have missed them. I checked your collection and came up empty, but clearly I skipped right over them. And I loved Superman Returns.

Dish, if you are still looking, I only have the teaser advance in stock, sold out of the final. The teaser, as you probably already know is the image on the far left in Thierry's images.

Just watched the 5 minuted deleted opening scene from Superman Returns.  I still don't understand how they f*cked up that movie so badly - a half-ass remake of the first movie.

I watched that too - and I don't like that opening. I think it's a pretty perfect deleted scene, but it has no place in the movie. I'd love to hear why you think Superman Returns is such a disaster. Not because I want to argue right or wrong, but because I want to hear what you think. As somebody who boldly will list Superman Returns as one of his favorite movies of all time, it's interesting to hear why people hate it. I'm going to open a thread...

I thought it was horrible too.  I don't remember the details now, but I remember walking out of the theater thinking: "What a gigantic mess."

I don't remember much of the movie, but I do remember watching it at a buddy's place when it was first out on video and I didn't think it was that bad. Although it's VERY possible that Kate Bosworth had me distracted from bad filmmaking.  Kiss

Those posters are real nice, nice of you to post the whole collection there. I've only seen a few, the advanced especially was a decent penny.

Thanks, yeah I hadn't come on here in quite some time and then my account was closed, probably because of my absence so Holiday reinstated me. I mentioned to him I noticed you didn't have the Stout IM2 metal variant on your site, I thought you had gotten one?

Yeah, I should have got it.  Oh well, can't get them all, huh?  I think I'd be more upset if the movie had been good, but for a turd like that, I'm happy with what I got.

Ok, I just thought I had seen it on your site at one point, and then it was gone. Doesn't help that Mondo doesn't ship those things either anymore and Tyler doesn't want to either as its a pain to package those things up.

I bought the 2 wood Ansins at Comic Con, and I'm glad I did, because I can't imagine anyone shipping them without damaging them.  This shit is cool, but it's a pain in the ass.

I believe after the Robocop metal variant, Mondo stated they would not ship out any of the metal variants or any other type of variants (i.e. wood) out, and they would be an in-store only type of exclusive. I believe the reason was the high costs and time it would take to package them but also the damages that were reported on the Robocop metals. Glad you were able to get those wood variants at SDCC, I saw the photo of them and they looked pretty cool. I remember seeing the first wood variant Mondo had done during a trip to D&L, I believe it was a Ansin Star Trek one but was told not to say anything and I didn't. Pretty unique variants, metal...wood, I wonder what could be next?

Would the official title be "Squeal Like A Pig Glow-In-The-Dark" Variant?
