THE GOON has been in production for a while now.  If I remember correctly, it was supposed to be released last year which obviously never happened.  Can't see a studio releasing a poster for a movie that may never see the light of day

I have some posters for Rubber coming, but no clue what it looks like yet. Stay tuned on that one.

Thanks, Dale. Hopefully it's the Boris and Julie piece posted above.  pcorn

What a cock tease Dale!

Oh well, it sounds like there is a crew after the Boris one around here.  Ready made customers certainly can't hurt!

This movie actually can't get funding. I don't think he got much further than Proof-of-Concept. Honestly, we'll see how Tintin does, because Tintin is probably going to be a hard PG and we'll see how that affects the animated market.

There was a trailer released for it last year.  The thing that raised my eyebrow was that the trailer featured way more of Frankie than it did The Goon.  No doubt this movie would be PG-13 at the very least for violence and language

Great trailer, Angelo.
It'll be a damn shame if the movie doesn't get the backing it deserves.

Here's a link to the GOON website (for those interested): http://www.thegoon.com/index.php

Whomever gets these (if they exist) should send one of each to us to auction. You might be very pleasantly surprised with the results!

Always check movieposter.com, the Wal-Mart of poster dealers.

If you can't find it there or at the other major dealers or on Ebay, shoot an email to Jerry Ohlinger at JOMMS@aol.com.  His stuff is not cheap but he's got a ton of obscure and hard-to-find stuff.

Unfortunately, while waiting for a Paypal transfer, somebody went to movieposter.com (probably after seeing Mel's tip above) and snatched the only available copy out of my hands.
When I went to purchase it minutes ago, it went "Out of Stock."
That sucks, but the early bird catches the worm, I guess.

It did have a huge, unsightly snipe across it (see link below), so if it turns up for re-sale, I (and you all) will know who the scum-bubble was.

And, to the new owner...I hope it gets destroyed in the mail.

Sorry about the miscommunication.  I thought you'd already purchased it when I posted the reference to MoviePoster.com.  Whoever bought it should give it to you.

The same thing happened with me with the Big Lebowski international.  MoviePoster.com "sold" it to me for $75 and then called me the next day to rescind the deal.  I had to pay much more later on to get it from another source.

No apology necessary, Mel. I should've moved quicker.
I'll find another, especially with collectors like you keeping an eye peeled for me.
It's entirely possible that whoever bought it thought I had already gotten mine.
Maybe they'll email me...maybe not.
But, either way, there has to be more out there.
And maybe the one destined for my collection will be 'snipe free.'
Thanks again for the tip, Mel.
 cheers
