Mel suggested I start showing some of my stuff in this thread.... I have over a thousand posters and they aren't even fully inventoried so it may be a slow process.  Here are some I got in the mail today and snapped a pic of them before I put them in storage.  Also a pic of Audrey...

My favorite movie in terms of posters so far; one of my crown jewels is a British Quad of the same design and rolled Shocked (not the awards version) I bought from Quad Bod ~10 years or so ago. I'll have to pull it out and snap a pic.

Oh and my best Japanese would be My Roman Holiday (Linen) no better shot of Audrey...

Bridge of the River Kwai; have several foreign version of this but not the US 1sheet; maybe one day...

Some Arnold stuff on the cheap these days....

Amadeus US 1sht Folded; waiting for a rolled one to come up for auction...

Amadeus Japanese B2; Need a B1; think they make that size?

My Crown Jewel Amadeus UK Quad Rolled Pre-Awards; Wondering how much this one is worth these days I can't find another rolled example and Bruce's Auction doesn't even have one in his auction history.  Didn't take it out of the plastic this is my next linen backing project.  It has some minor damage in the top right and it is a bit fragile.

Amadeus French Medium

US Awards Version

Indian Slumdog Millionaire "50 Days"

Indian Slumdog Millionaire "Reviews"

Indian Slumdog Millionaire In Hindi "Slumdog Crorepati" (Translated by my Indian wife) I have several other Hindi movie poster that my wife recommended...  I think this one is definitely a 5 star poster...

If anyone wants to off load some Amadeus stuff for reasonable prices I'd be interested....

If you love Amadeus, do yourself a favor and get the Italian 2-Foglio.  The best on the title, IMO.

Eatbrie, was that you that sniped my Adv Bronco Billy last night on Bruce's auction?  Your poster site didn't have it and the ID was Eatbrie...

I got kind of annoyed trying to take my posters out of the sleeves to take pictures but I have had this box of old one sheets I got a month or so ago that I never processessed so I got 25 titles done today many had several dupes.  I picked titles off a list and he gave me one and threw in dupes for hardly anything.  There is a German Cinderfella somewhere in the box...  It was like Christmas; I love opening folded posters... Enjoy.

"7 Women" - Anne Bancroft Wink Younger not Great Expectations where is your head...

"And Then the Screaming Starts" - Loved that someone thought that a movie about an evil hand could make money...

"Army Air Force Exchange" - Can't place a date but it is post several 70s films...

"Bold and Brave" - Nice overall presentation here; every time I see this I keep thinking/wishing it would have been Elizabeth Taylor on there snogging (pardon the Potterism)

"ECCO" - Don't know why this is not more popular in a cult status way the poster is cool!

"Eternal Sea" - Awesome; and it has Virginia Grey!

"Hell's Horizon" - Needed a better female lead and this one would have been supreme....

"Morgan the Pirate" - Captain Morgan! Then the popularity of this one surprises me...

"None but the Brave" - I love the review for this film; "A minimum show of creative invention and a maximum use of cinema clichés are evident in the staging of this war film," and "Mr. Sinatra, as producer and director, as well as actor of the secondary role of the booze-guzzling medical corpsman, displays distinction only in the latter job. Being his own director, he has no trouble stealing scenes, especially the one in which he burbles boozy wisecracks while preparing to saw off the shivering Japanese's leg. Mr. Sinatra is crashingly casual when it comes to keeping the Japanese in their place"

"Pressure Point" - I really like all the red on this poster; it reminds me of that Karate Champ arcade game from my childhood...

"Station Six Sahara" - Another awesome graphic; I simply love the way they presented the title....

"Town Without Pity" - This is another low value poster but the red Kirk Douglas strikes me; its a keeper...

"Tunnel Vision" - I have this fascination with filling voids with eyes and stuff this one fits right in; like the ECCO poster... Probably need to see someone about that.

Your ETERNAL SEA has always been one of my favorite Republic designs...and seems to usually go for a modest price when up for auction on EmP.

All I can assume is that the movie itself must've really sucked because the poster is absolutely stunning!

It is interesting you commented on the Eternal Sea poster.  I told my wife before I opened this one up, that if she didn't like it I would quit collecting posters... Luckily she liked it!  When I saw this one on the list and looked up the image this actually was my number one priority for the whole purchase....  It is a bit banged up but I could see this one hanging in the hallway it speaks so many languages a thousand words to be corny.

This one I've considered for linen backing; thoughts?

Ok, more from the box; Enjoy.....

"A Tiger Walks" - Really like the feeling this poster gives you; like the first time you watched Jungle Book...

"Beloved Infidel" - Stupid Stain; recommendations?

"Endangered Species" - Got this one for my wife; as it involves something trying to scare of ranchers through cattle mutilation.  She is Hindu so revenge on ranchers is ok by her...

"Big Brawl" - These were perfect except on the outside folds; this was one that was folded image on top.  Interested they tried to sell it by saying is was produced by the same folks who did Enter the Dragon...

"Father Goose" - Reminds me of my grandpa who always wore full pajamas....

"Happy Anniversary" - Snake?

"Four Days in November" - Awesome poster; still haven't quite figured out how to take pics of the shiny posters.  The image suggest the folds are dirty but they are pretty much perfect. Need to figure this out before I start on my modern one sheets.  Help?

"Man's Favorite Sport" - Until you get married; then it is Man's Favorite Past Time....

"On the Beach" - Big names; little value? I guess I got the wrong version of this one...

"Rose Tattoo" - Nice overall; could have worked on the tattoo though...

"Freud" - Another one of my favorites from this lot; What is with the title confusion? Is it Frued or Secret Passion and isn't there one called Freud that is different?

"Tora Tora Tora" (Spanish) - Somehow I ended up with four of these and they are all perfect; want to trade?

"Twinkle in God's Eye" - Another nice republic film poster; really starting to like these.  Maybe I should go back and get all the Republics he has...Start a studio based collection.

"Wild Westerners" - Another great image...

"Wizard of Baghdad" - There is a Quad in the box too; like the genie/middle eastern applied to 50s and 60s films...

Abode pics filtered; can't show a house that isn't cleaned up (minus remodel poster stuff)  Neo you asked for it....

My recently finished room with poster built in.  Plus my new photo studio courtesy of Mel; as he encouraged me to snap some photos of my collection.  Now I have to get some large studio lighting to reduce the glare on the modern one sheets.

Boxes on the right are of 45s; I use to have a record store on eBay "Chubby Charlies"; mainly to facilitate my own collection.  But it seemed as my engineering career progressed and my family grew, I had no time for it and shut it down.  I use to carry 600 or so listings a month mostly BN...

The new poster room with carpet; soon to be guest room but I plan to delay that for a while at least three months...

This is a limited canvas print; its nice.

My grandmother painted this one...

The old poster room... Full of junk from the remodel...  I use to keep my rolled stuff between the 2x4s temporary of course; this room is the next to be renovated...

My flat file I got when my engineering firm decided to throw out stuff in storage. Unfortunately it was the only one wide enough for one sheets...

More junk my Hang em High 40x60; missing a corner and need resto but the previous owner put some craft tape so it is pretty much useless;  I was thinking about glueing it to my garage floor and putting a few coats of epoxy on it...  Also some military stuff may grandfather was in the 102nd division WWII; got a lot of original pieces... division sheet music next to the 40x60...

Can't have a man/poster room without an Abide poster...  The Marylin "How to Marry a Millionaire is an ad from an old photoplay magazine that I had linen backed; the guy shipped it back to me with out being in plastic and since we were out of town of course it rained.  Got all wrinkle but actually looks ok now...

This is a printers proof of the Houston Galleria area signed; his art use to be on all the phone books in Houston.  I picked it up for $10 at an estate sale; good deal in my book.

Eastwood and Grandpa's flag; some tiara glass pieces from a glass maker in Indiana from the 70s; my dad is an antique dealer and he got me hooked.  The handled vase is worth about $70 if you can find one...  Aggie signed basketball...

My favorite painting in the whole house by a non listed artist; the deep colors are awesome..

Another non-listed oil I picked up; its really nice!

This is an actual photo from the late 50s; I found it at an estate sale of the base photographer; the same base where my Grandfather was stationed.  I like to think and believe he wanted me to have it for such a twist of fate...

My dad picked this up at an auction for me at a whopping $10 bucks; its the 70s official reprint but framed and ready to go; another good deal...

My paintings and prints closet....

Very cool Charlie.  Looks like you really care about your stuff which is always good to see.  The paintings are really nice as well as the posters you chose for display.  Did you see the episode of American Pickers where they bought the canvas painting for the Barnum and Bailey Gargantuan?  That is an excellent reprint you have and I'm sure it is worth much more than $10 and the nice frame really makes it look good.   I agree with T, excellent display of your abode/collection and it would be great to see others follow your lead and post their stuff.

I agree, it's hard to find a more underrated design for a classic film than the French Amadeus posters.  The Grande is simply stunning when displayed.  I am continually surprised how little they go for at auction.

Yeah that was an awesome episode; and I love how they ended up giving the guy some money.  Interesting thing I was in a restaurant just yesterday (downtown Houston) and saw another huge circus banner/canvas....
