The eBay ID is "Lobbies".  I had them on my saved seller list, but I don't know all the dealers and their eBay handles .  I have heard of John Hazleton though.
The poster appears to be in really great unrestored condition.  I was thinking about bidding on this, but I figured it would go for higher.

It says it is the "flat" version, but it sure looks like the glossy version from the image.

The guy who made these fakes went to a printer in Belgium and asked him to make exact repros, but the printer refused. The guy asked the printer to put "Printed in Belgium" at the bottom because they WERE being printed there, and he agreed, and that has cost newbie collectors hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years.

So was it the printer that put "Printed in Belgium" vs. "Imprime en Belgique" or was the exact repro requester just an idiot?

Did anyone message that seller and tell him that it was not an original?

I did last night, after I saw the post here.

I explained some of the key differences and even sent him/her a link to a large, hi res scan of an original.

I never heard back.

Figures.  eyeroll

Probably because he/she knows what they sold and are hoping they can get away with it. To bad there isn't a way to contact the buyer and tell them.

It was so much easier to so so, back when ebay posted the user ID of the winning bidder. And to even alert ebay of this fraudulent sale would do nothing.

Deaf ears and all that.  :P

Yeah I remember that you use to be able to see the buyer back in the day. To bad they changed it.

Very very true. I guess they will have to learn the hard way.

For sure, Chris, and it's the scam sellers like this that hook the ones that don't.

Maybe a few messages to the seller, telling him he is being reported to ebay for selling fraudulent items might coax him?

One way to alert the buyer, would be once he leaves feedback (if he does). The buyer's ID is then visible. But at that point, it might be too late for the buyer to file a claim, depending on how long it takes for him to receive the poster and then leave potential feedback for this seller.  I just looked and the last feedback for this seller, as a seller, was back in 2007.  :-\

He doesn't but he also offers a 14 day return policy to the buyer.  There is also the 45 day ebay buyer protection time frame. If the buyer receives the poster and posts his feedback in a timely manner, he can then be alerted to his repro poster purchase and file a claim.
