Ha, I have to "assuage" the seller to cancel the sale since I already own it! Just afraid to look under the bed to verify:

I've don't get how collectors can buy duplicates of things they already own (forgetting they have a copy).

(And Im not meaning buying duplicates on purpose).

As Linda Richman on SNL's "Coffee Talk" used to say -- "Discuss."  ;D

Ha, my collection is hyper-organized in a photo program, Aperture.

I just forgot to add WOTW to the Prints sub-album:

All good now:

Some low closings on HA at the moment..

The Gilda French double panel, with a low estimate of $10K, went for only $7 grand.

It's LB and in pretty bad condition.  "Fine" is bad, in this case, especially if linenbacked.  Also, this one can be found folded.

The first release (1942) US OS for Casablanca just sold for only $14,000.00 and Matt's Italian '62RR went for $90K.

Amazing what this hobby shows and the results it produces! It makes for a lot of fun, that's for sure.

German poster for The Jazz Singer just sold for $10K BELOW the low estimate of $20,000.00

The winning bid was $10,000.00 plus the BP

Im surprised it was let go at that price.

Consignor moronically referred to himself as a "friend to the stars." :P

I paid  A LOT more for my pic MP (only $30 for my fake art) but the blue is vibrant on mine:

I noticed on the description of the Dracula that it was recently discovered as the second copy known. Anyone know where it was discovered?

Drac's Daughter 1/2 sheet slid in under the wire, too.

Estimate was $6-12K and someone is taking her home for $4K plus the BP.

The French is exceptional.  I'd love to own one some day, but this price sets a precedent and I think my significant other would kill me.

Beautiful images on this set of cards for the movie, Prisoners (1929), with them going for $1792.00, inc the BP

The Wolf Man WC went for $3600.00 plus the BP.

I dont think I ever noticed before that on this card, Chaney's head was basically added to a drawn, gorilla (wolfman) body, but wearing not a stitch of clothing, as he does in the movie.

Interesting take on doing this for the WC, I think.

I wonder if Kirk Hammett is the proud new owner of the Dracula or Phantom one-sheets... or both?
