Was watching that Mad Love with interest.  Seems many window cards for this film have turned up for some reason but little else on the title.

Nice that this one wasn't trimmed vertically!

The good news (for me, at least) is that there are so many linenbacked pieces it really limits the amount of posters I am interested in.  Case in point, this To Catch a Thief.  If it had been folded, I would have gone for it.

this is why I do not have  Strangers on a Train 1sh for my Chandler collection (I could care less if it was a Hitchcock)
every one I see is on linen, so I guess I'll pay a premium for a folded copy

Whut?  $47,800, way over $20K estimate:

http://movieposters.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7094&lotNo=83131

This wonderful and very large painting is the original artwork used to produce one of the most well known movie posters of the era. Standing 33" X 40", the painting was done by artist Mike Bryan using a large blueprint that produced a ghosted image from a photograph onto paper. The artist then used airbrush, ink and colored pencil to create the photo-realistic image seen.

It's called "original art."  ;)

A nice bid battle, for sure.

Only Angels Have Wings (Columbia, 1939). Insert  $2,270.50   Sold to Mail/Fax?

by fax? That's a bit odd no?

The first guy was much better.  He actually talked about the posters. She's just reciting numbers.
