The art does look more detailed, and they didn't just cover the background with a plain color

I think the Spanish language version has slightly better art:

That's probably because Spanish Tarzan is muscular and has had man scaping ;)

Sorry you missed out on it though...

The pretty spectacular Spanish language three sheet went for peanuts in 2011 - $190:

I was the underbidder last night at Heritage on the 1932 Tarzan Spanish-language one sheet that sold for $930, a bargain compared to the US English language poster that recently sold for $65,000.   I think the Spanish language version has slightly better art:

Yeah, I was gunning for that poster too.  It's a beauty, for sure.  Hard to believe the US would go for so much, and this would go for so little...

I prefer the art on the 3sheet - the renditions of both Tarzan and Jane are better, imho,   :)

I too agree and that Spanish artwork is better for sure.  It looks like someone turned that American version into a comic strip - look at her facial expression.

I agree, too.  thumbup

But it is interesting to see how close/almost identical some of the other artistic elements are -- things like the lion, Cheeta, and even Tarzan (while more muscled in the Spanish version) still looks to be a slight reworking of the US art, to a great degree, imo.

Not me. An imposter, or someone doing an homage!

But this page, which always loaded quickly for me, took over a minute to load just now. Weird!

I frequently find just this site seems to disappear into a black hole, trying to load for a minute or so, then finally kicking in

A poor condition Attack of the Crab Monsters sold for $325 last night.  If it's not faded - and it's hard to tell from the pic - it was a bargain, since it could be fixed up and resold for much more:

Here's a pic from Emovie, colors appear much richer:

agree - title has always come with a hefty price tag and it looks like an easy restore - you got to love the half and fantasy lobby #9 which shows the full image of the crab.

Steve - 'stunning' 3sh for 'Hot Car Girl' on your site - some posters come alive in large format.  If only I was so lucky, this would definitely be framed on a wall.  I'm now adding toward the top of my bucket list  :o

Is this FRANKIE the same that we discussed back in early March? The one we discussed whether it was from Ron's collection?

http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,237.msg112383.html#msg112383

Or is this is a different FRANKIE?

This exquisite US WC for the 1938 Kay Francis film, My Bill (Warner Bros), just wrapped up this morning on ebay, with a winning bid of $877.00

This is widow card art at some of its finest, IMO.   bed1
