Did you try eBay.it? With a little bit of auto-translation it is quite easy to navigate.

Yes I have my saved searches setup that it gives me daily additions from all eBay's including eBay.it.  eBay Italy is where I've been getting 100% of my Marisa Mell and Barbara Bouchet posters thus far, but even there the selection is thin, it's about once a month something new comes along.

I'm afraid that's the life of the collector. Pay through the nose at dealer pages, or be patient and get a bargain eventually.

I used to buy a lot from Intercard and had a really good connection there, but she quit and from what I hear the owner died, so I would not have high hopes for getting anything out of them anymore.

Does anybody remember the crazy Italian dealers that used to auction at eBay some 5-10 years ago? They would put up hundreds of posters every week at low starting prices, but no titles, just "HORROR 123-45", "WESTERN 345-45" etc. At least half of my Italian collection comes from there, and I didn't pay more than a couple of Euros for most of them!

Thats too bad to hear about the intercard owner. They had a really good website, even  if you weren't buying the posters from them. They still had a lot of the titles for reference.

I do, he was awesome.  Wasn't his ID "Interposter" or something like that?  Had to literally go through every one of his listings to see just what he was selling.  A lot of fantastic stuff slipped through the cracks, but it was also amazing that so many other ObComs were all over it, and they sometimes got bid way passed retail.

Haven't seen this Intercard person, wonder if they're the same "Inter" mob?  He wasn't in Roma as I recall, maybe Milan or thereabouts.

Interposter, yes that's it! No, I would guess this was a different outfit from Intercard, being much less organized - they literally had no idea what they were selling! It was a real goldmine though, I wish I had bought lots more of certain titles... On the other hand, as you say, there were many people watching and sometimes prices got way out of hand. For instance, I lost an auction for a beautiful THE TRIP manifesto, but then found it at a regular Italian dealer in better condition and for a lot less.

What a shame, looks like I'm a few years late both for Intercard and eBay!  Sad I went ahead and emailed Intercard, maybe I'll hear something in a few months... if not I've added a few more titles to my search list.  I'm just going to start asking the Italian sellers on eBay if they have anything I'm looking for.  Most of the ones I've brought from seem to have large collections that they're listing in spurts.  The guy I recently bought something from is supposedly checking his stock to see if he's got anything else I'm looking for, maybe that will turn up something.  Supposedly Intercard used to sell on eBay, as there is reference to eBay on their site, would anyone be familiar with what they're ID might be?  Maybe it was that Interposter...

No I don't think Intercard and Interposter were the same. Interposter is still around, but sells mostly postcards

Good things come to those who wait!  $100.  Free shipping.  I hope this is a sign my luck is changing for the better.  (This is not the picture of the actual poster, the one I'm getting is folded).

Nah...  I'll stick to it.

Since I collect posters from all around the world, I enjoy owning incredibly different visuals for the same film and I pretty much always find one or more international posters to be more attractive than their US counterpart.  There is more artistry in international posters, it is less about selling a product and more about an artist rendition.  IMO anyway.

Yea, he's quite pricey, some things he has I've seen pretty dirt cheap from others on eBay.  He's where I bought my first poster, the huge Marisa Mell one.  Bought it through him on eBay.  Good thing about him though he ships 2 day Fedex, so the $25 shipping (which he charges on eBay) isn't too bad, he didn't ship it out for a week, but when he did ship it came in 2 days.

Well my dealings with Intercard miraculously resumed again.  Out of the blue a week or so ago I got an email stating they'll now take Paypal again, today I finally got an invoice from them and just paid through Paypal.  I'm paying 50 euros for shipping, supposedly it's two day UPS or Fedex so I ought to be getting it by next week, but obviously that's dependent on when they actually ship it out.  We'll see.  I'll post a picture of the poster when I get it.  I'm over paying out the nose probably, but I've been in love with this poster since I saw it and obviously it's been worth the trouble to get it, because I've followed through after all this.  Hopefully I don't get ripped off, although I haven't heard that Intercard is dishonest, just not very organized and prompt, which I've experienced.

Mel got something from them recently, without any trouble so you are probably going to be OK.  thumbup

IT CAME TODAY! IT CAME!  Grin I'll post a pick later tonight when I can take one!!!

Unfortunately it's not in great shape, another downside to Intercard, their pictures are mediocre and they just say everything is in good condition.  This one might be worthy of linen backing in the future as it's doubtful I'll find another one.  A lot of fold tearing and even a tear in the middle of the poster.  It was packed well and shipped quickly, but I'd only purchase from them again if it was something I couldn't find anywhere else, as was the case with this one.  Price and likely condition doesn't make purchasing from them worth it on an easily attainable item. Little bummed I might have to sink more money into it (especially when it's probably not worth what I paid to begin with) but I've asked every Italian poster seller I've bought from on eBay if they had this poster or seen it and no one has.
