I know that Attack of the Clones got leaked and there was a reasonable quality version (Cam or TS) that came out almost a month before the movie did in theaters, and it wasn't missing any scenes or footage. Guess the master plan failed for that one.
UK?
Attack of the clones for me was interesting, about 2 weeks in advance of the release, the Cinema i worked in had a press show screening, again, the print showed up in advance minus 1 reel, that Thursday night.the final reel was delivered by "security"...as Thurs is traditionally the night all old movies get sent back and Projectionists could be there untill 2am doing spool offs,I chose to do a "quality control check" of the new movie...the bonus was,the missing reel contained the Jango Fett beheading scene that was later cut...
Excellent
Stew

Is this the most Scarce Star Wars poster out there.....??  It was only put out around Hastings....
So there can't be many out there, if any....

Now, how cool is that?
What an interesting piece of film history...
Is that 20x30, Paul?

I just found it referenced here:
http://www.starwarsmovieposter.com/star_wars_eve.htm
(Under Gallery 2)

Not "the rarest", but certainly up there (they gave it 4.5 Jawas).

I imagine that there can't be more than a handful made, and it's unlikely many survived.

Very cool! Are you planning on keeping it or selling it?   8)

Another Star Wars video poster that is fooling everybody on Ebay.

The "Lucasfilm" on the lower left below the art gives it away.

I alerted the seller.  Thanks to Cinemasterpieces for the info....

Why do you think it's cardstock? I didn't see it mentioned in the listing, and can't tell from the picture.

Also, according to the notes in the image you posted, the Video copyright should say "(C) 1977 Lucasfilm LTD", but according to the pictures in the listing, this one says "(C) 1977 Twentieth Century Fox", which would indicate it being original.

Good eye, Mel.

Enki, the picture for the one in the auction clearly says "(C) 1977 Lucasfilm LTD" - the video release.

Ah, my bad. I wasn't looking at the (C) under the picture, I was looking at the bottom left of the poster.

Thanks. Irish Terrier.

I looked again at the eBay listing and see how he actually put a closeup of the LucasFilms copyright image in his listing as well. That seems a little suspicious, since it's presence indicates he knows the difference. Almost like he's purposely misleading people with the description information, and if they complain afterwards he can say that he put the image in there so it's their own fault for not knowing the difference.

He/she may have just been taking pictures of all the identifying marks, except the NSS paragraph and GAU logo.

Yeah, good point.  The guy is selling a smorgasbord of vintage stuff, and the only other poster looks like it is labeled incorrectly also, so it was probably just a mistake.

BTW - Can someone help identify the poster below. It's obvious from when it is from but I have not been able to find this particular one so no idea of what it is called and what its value is. It measures 27" x 18" and as you can see it is a "Limited Edition" and based on the LE number perhaps limited to 9,999 (there is no number 0 preceding the number shown) - one would assume world wide. Thanks.

Well I got an answer from Paul over at starwarsmovieposter.com who was kind enough to illuminate me as this poster, and I quote:

"What you have is a limited edition print that came with the purchase of the Special Edition Trilogy Set released in late ’97. I think Australia, UK, and Germany were the countries that used these scene posters in the promotion of the VHS set. There were four different scene posters you could obtain and these different scenes were also used in the promotional advertisement campaign. (Darth Vader Scene, C-3PO/R2-D2 Scene, Yoda Scene, & The one you have Luke & Leia Skiff scene)"

There ya go, official poster and a limited edition. Cool. Worth the $15 I was asking for them 8)

^ ;D

I see this ebay seller has the Star Wars Identities posters up for sale...the French language versions...
http://www.ebay.com/sch/plasticmatador/m.html?hash=item43af12feff&item=290700066559&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_trksid=p4340.l2562

I'd love a set of these, do any kind souls on here live near Edmonton or Montreal and can help me out? I'd be willing to pay for your tickets to the exhibition and obviously cover the cost of the posters and shipping!

Really happy about this Japanese '82 re-release I scored for $22. A bit of paper loss but at that price I can live with it.
