That's really awful, lets hope it's a fan made poster.

That was my first thought, but it has already appeared on Impawards.com. I can't remember Dave falling for a fan-made poster in the past.

Do you guys remember life before the prequels - you know back when Lucas created this masterpiece (by not directing it!) and before the ocular trauma of Episodes I & II (yeah, Episode III wasn't complete trash)?

As an aside - Who would want to see trash in 3D?!  I see that enough every Wed night when I have to take out the garbage...

Man you know you are avoiding the Star Wars temptation when you forgot that your wife bought you the Star Wars Poster book in hardback last Christmas and then it takes you 10 minutes to find it.  But I have to say it was a pleasant surprise to remember I had it.

Anyone ever see the Yoda "Read" poster come up?  Wouldn't mind having that one...  Is it just a commercial poster that has been reprinted forever and ever?

It's been a while since I found a STAR WARS poster that interested me, but here's the Spanish one sheet.  Same art as the small Belgian and the huge French, both of which cut off the main characters' legs at the waist.  It doesn't come up for sale often, but this one is winging it's way here now...

Thanks, Neo.
I'm pretty stoked.
Reminds me of Goldilocks: "The Belgian was just too little and the French was just too big. This one sheet is just right."  wynk

This one was actually done by a French guy: Michel Jouin.

I just won lot 121 for the opening bid of $50 in this auction: http://www.aaauctions.com/auctions/catalogs/11n3/11n3.htm

How did I do?   ;D

This is what the lot included:

And what do you think the odds are that the rolled ESRB Aussie 1-sheet is legit?  :o

This is great.  All these posters for $50?  I wish I knew how to bid on auctions like this.  I just have no clue and it's too complicated for a stoner like myself.

Well, technically it is $60 with the BP. And then there is shipping to contend with. You are probably right, tracking down these obscure auctions is probably more trouble than it's worth... Better leave me to handle it and I'll send you the choice deals. Did you get my email about the GWTW by the way?  ;D

Well the ROTJ shouldn't be too bad to track down. However, I'm pretty sure nearly everyone on the forum has expressed interest in that ESB Aussie so you are going to have competition there. As for this one, I can't even find a past sale of a rolled one. I bet Bruce could auction that one alone for $500 or more...

Yeah I know the ROTJ one is not hard to find, it is just a bit out of my price range, 2 have slipped away from me in recent emovieposter auctions, and I know that the ESB Aussie one is leagues above anything I can come close to affording.  It's a shame because they are both breathtaking.

Ok Star Wars topic.  What the hell did I just buy.  Its 27"x38" weird size.  I've seen it listed as a licensed print (Commercial Printing ( 1995 / Far Away   )  ©®™Licensed Movie Image/ ©®™ Germ) But it looks like a blown up half sheet.  Didn't pay too much so no worries about disappointing me....

Looks like a repro of the original 22x28 1/2 sheet.
Like mine...

I gotta re-shoot this one. It's much whiter.
How much did you pay for the repro?
