Killer Klowns QuadI guess its on ebay just to let everyone know he has it. My offer of £175 was auto-denied. Very frustrating. Schan

Don't know him but if he sells it for asking price I'll let you have mine for half the price! In all seriousness that's really crazy pricing, his other stock isn't cheap but that's just madness.

Well I'm feeling generous Do you have any idea why he would list if for this price? I think it's a great poster but he must be slightly insane.

Like i said, I think he put it up there just to show folks he has it. I dont think he actually has any intention of selling it. Obviously no one is going to give him his asking price.

ID guess a little of two possibilities .. He obviously wants to show it off .. and maybe he feels it rare enough that it may illicit a rich buyer to spend the coin on it .. there may only be a .001% chance of that .. but whilst showing it off why not play the lottery .. so to speak

Just read his description guys. He clearly has no intention of selling it - he basically says as much.
Also, he sounds like a pretentious a-hole...

I still don't understand the point of showing off on ebay though. I've seen quite a few posters listed for crazy prices and I've often wondered if they ever sell any. I'm thinking of selling off some of my collection. Maybe I should list them at extreme prices, and if I sell 1 I won't have to sell the rest!

A lot of sellers seem to show off their really rare and valuable pieces as a means to draw attention to the other stuff they have for sale (at more reasonable prices) with no intention of ever selling the item they have listed at a huge dollar figure.
It's like cheap advertising (so long as the highly priced item doesn't sell that is!)

Isn't he's still incurring listing fees for 878 items he has up? Seems like a waste of money to me but, then again, he's got us looking at his posters and talking about him

The guy is an idiot with too much time on his hands. Pretty much all his posters are way over the normal asking price. I pray that no-one buys any of his posters.
I wouldn't give him £10 for that Killer Clowns poster.

Well, I live in the U.K. but have no idea who this guy is, and he's been doing it for a while. He has sold some stuff, not big money but over priced all the same, so someone is buying off him. There is a couple of other chaps doing the same thing. Big prices that will never sell, it's been going on for a couple of years.
Also the latest Ebay trick seems to be put a poster on for say £50, and get your mate to put the same poster on for £100, and it makes yours look like a bargin. Ebay was much better in the old days of seeing someone's I.D. this hide your I.D. lark is open to scams. Why is it not all open and above board. Lets see everyone's name!!

The absurd high price is a lame-brain selling strategy. If you sort the Ebay listings by price, it comes out on top and gets noticed. Here's an example on the American Ebay - deathmak62 is selling an Army of Darkness poster for $1,000,000 and it's worth less than $100. Of course it is true that it is very difficult to get noticed among the 40,000+ movie poster listings on the US Ebay right now.

I thought that too Mel, but I offered him £175 for the damn thing, which is probably (no, not probably, it is) more than the poster is worth but it was denied. And, unexpectedly, I did not get an email from him saying he had a change of heart.
