They are about 8"x15" Ted. I know most Americans won't know how U.K. Buses looked, but if you watch Potter 3 - Prisoner of Azkaban. When Potter is on the bus, you can see some of these kind of ads above the side windows, in the corners near the roof... Maybe someone can post a pic?

My guess is We don't care...  Yvonne is "Mrs punctuation", she goes off it if something is wrong like that. Me I do know the difference, but would only care if it was an essay or something. Us Northerners struggle to speak proper, and even spell right... ;) and all that punctuation just gets in the way..

Yes, we used to have something like that in the buses back then.
Don't know whether they do that anymore seeing as I haven't been on a bus in eons.

I haven't been on a bus in 35 years either, wonder if they do still advertise inside..?

I do think some of these so called "lift-bills" that are being mentioned of late, maybe used on the outside of Buses too. on the front corners below the upstairs windows.
....Most get a size on those..
