Picked this up recently, I just love the history of a piece like this. The poster is from the re-release in 1960.

Soak up all that old British Cinema History, Newquay is a popular Holiday resort too.

Paul, since when would Leslie Caron's face be considered "text?"  ;)

I think she would feel insulted.   laugh1

Ps. I love the way her image was done on this quad, too. It looks like a silkscreen.

A great movie with an all star cast Hollywood Canteen 1944. Scary part is that they only have a portion of all the famous entertainers of the day listed on the poster.

I do like that Hollywood Canteen.. :D

Jeff, is this meeting with your text only requirements.... ;)

I picked this up as I have the Quad, thinking it's British. Having measured it, it's 40 7/8' X 27 7/8...
I'm guessing U.S. now. Anyone have any ideas? There's no info at all on the poster..

"Text only" seems self explanatory to me.  ;)

It has nothing to do with my requirements.

A cool poster, Paul. I like it, too.  clap

This looks like it could maybe be a US broadside, locally printed in some town or city.

Hey Paul, Not a text image followup but here is the actual US OS for this film (Vice and Virtue).  It's from 1963 and Catherine Deneuve is also in it.  thumbup

It is a Gaumont-International Picture and was distributed by MGM.  ;)

I picked up 12 of these, all different. I'm not going to post them in the latest thread with all those nice posters Chris is putting on.. ;)

As we've said before scarce, maybe the only ones left, but not worth much. These are Bus posters, or bills?  They were used inside buses to advertise anything from pubs, clubs, toffee's and crisps, and yes even what was on at the local Cinema. All from the late 60's..

I never do Harry... ;)

That one is from 69, it was probably the year I saw both these, but at our local Cinema.
