There is quite a thriving market for these posters - I probably would have collected these had I not been sidetracked into MPs.

Here's a website devoted to Pan Am posters.

One of the more risque posters:

Those older ones have some beautiful portraits, really makes one want to travel to those locations.  On the last one "experience makes the difference" (no pun intended of course) with 3 sexy half naked ladies, maybe that's the newer way of boldly portraying another great part of traveling to those locations  Cheesy.

I collect quite a lot of advertising posters including airline posters (I have shown some in another thread)

I am on the look out for 2 Pan Am posters, one of which is listed on the site you linked to although the poor photo makes it look decidedly bland (one for London with bus).

I think TWA & Air France probably have the best airline posters, but there are some nice ones from other airlines. I wouldn't mind a nice Aeroflot poster if I can find one.

Mel, you should get into these kind of posters... the print quality is much better than for movie posters of the same vintage, often packing in strong colors. They can be rather pricey though...

I own hundreds of travel posters (I love them). I need to get them sorted out.

My upcoming mini/major auction has some nice ones I was consigned, so Mel can consider "getting his feet wet".

Of course, (with all apologies to our female members) their dorsal vertical smiles ...
