In 9.6, just this one with no copies graded higher (which is why the price is justified in some/many people's eyes).  There are a half dozen unrestored copies graded 9.4 (2 @ 9.2; 6 @ 9.0), so high grade certified copies are few and far between

Bummer! In 1968 I bought an absolutely perfect collection of Marvels, from Fantastic Four #1 on, all bought off the newstand and stored in a cedar chest, for $400. Four years later (in a moment of absolute insanity, after buying every new issue) I sold them all for $550!

I guess that set would be $20 million or more now!

That collection would be worth a ton of cash today. I wonder if any of those copies have been sold/resold or if they're in someone's collection

If I was dropping 1.1M on a book, I'd want to know that it's unrestored.  Bet the owner of the GL 1 Church wish they had CGC when he bought that book

"I wonder if any of those copies have been sold/resold or if they're in someone's collection"

I sold them to some guy in his early 20s from Flushing, New York, who drove to my house. He gave me money orders for the $550, and I never ever learned his name (he wasn't Robert Bell, a famous early dealer I was friends with, or anyone else I knew).

He may have sold the books individually soon after, but the romantic in me likes to think he still has them!

Just as well I sold them. What would I do with 20 million?
