The day that trailer came out I was ranting and raving to everyone I know about how trailers are absolute trash these days. That Apollo 18 trailer is a great example of the trend that's sweeping across the industry and that is giving away the movie to the point where people don't need to go see it after watching the trailer. This trailer should have ended half way through, but instead gave away everything (even though we knew what it was about) and thus made it underwhelming.

I hate the new trend of giving away all acts, all twists, everything you would be surprised by in the movie in the first trailer.

But as for this movie, I'm interested, been following the project for a good while, unfortunately the second half of the trailer doesn't make me hold out TOO much hope.

Is this a "found footage" movie?

I think this movie is one where the trailer makes the film look pretty damn good (going off the first trailer anyway which aired over here) but in fact it actually being disappointing. I wonder if this is the case!?
