I get a good vibe from the site but the paper of the poster I received feels unusually thin. I'm (not much) concerned it's reprint and want to know if the site has a good reputation in hopes of setting my suspicions to rest.

If it makes a difference, its the international One Sheet Advance B for Finding Nemo. Identical to the American Advance except it says "2003" instead of "May 30th".

No experience whatsoever.

But I just looked at his French posters and they are 1) overpriced and 2) full of mistakes.  For instance, his poster of Beyond the Forest (La Garce) is from 2008, not 1979.  Not regarding your Finding Nemo posters, notice that it doesn't say original anywhere.  These posters have been re-printed DS, and the price is too good to be true (in comparison to what he charges for other posters.)  So personally, I would stay away.

Thank you for the input. His front page does say "True to our name, we sell only ORIGINAL POSTERS & ORIGINAL LOBBY CARDS, no re-prints or reproductions!", but considering the price and the fact that the poster just doesn't "Feel right" in my hand I presume I've been swindled.

But hey, at that price, it didn't hurt to try.

I'm going to say something crazy here, but most poster collectors would understand: Smell your posters.  Modern posters have a very specific smell that I have yet to find in reprints.  I know it sounds insane, but it's true.  I know almost immediately if I've been taken for a ride or not.

I actually know exactly what you mean. I work at a movie theatre and open tubes of brand new posters fresh of the presses almost every day. You can always smell it. It's a little like vinyl.

I wonder if I could smell it on an eight year old poster, however.

I am still a poster newb but I am thinking If the poster is unused, brand new and coming out if its original home it will keep that new car smell for a few years.
