Quadbod at The Cinema Museum, London
« on: February 18, 2011, 03:16:21 AM »
Hi, Folks!

Just a reminder for Londoners - and near neighbours - we'll be at the wonderful Cinema Museum in Dugard Way, Kennington, London SE11 4TH tomorrow Saturday 19 February 2011 for their Film Memorabilia Bazaar!

On this occasion, we will have very few posters with us but plenty of front of house stills and miscellaneous campaign material - masses of brilliant stuff!

Come along and say hello - and have a browse!

Best wishes,
Terry - www.quadbod.co.uk

Good news Terry :D

You say you'll only have a few posters there, do you know if there'll be any other poster dealers attending?

I've got to fit in picking up some newly framed Matrix proofs and catch Man Utd vs Crawley Town on Saturday so hopefully I can squeeze in some quality quad viewing as well!

Hi!
If you do get there, be sure to come and say hello!  Don't really know about other dealers - we will have approx 30 selected quads from pre-1960 plus some nice US inserts from the 1920s - plus any other quads which have been specifically requested.  There should be plenty of posters to see which are owned and displayed by the Cinema Museum themselves, of course.

Hope to see you there!

Best wishes,
Terry - www.quadbod.co.uk

Cheers Terry, just went to their website and it looks like a quality event! This is their write up:

'Don’t miss our all-day fundraising Memorabilia Bazaar!

This exciting event features dealers’ tables, with stills, posters, books, campaign books and publicity material, equipment, ephemera, dvds and films of all gauges, plus a Bring & Buy stall.

The fair will be opened by Valerie Leon, famed for her roles in many high profile British films, including six Carry On films, two Bonds, The Italian Job, and the Hammer Horror Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb. Her TV appearances include The Avengers, The Goodies and The Morecambe & Wise Show. Valerie will be signing pictures in the main hall, and there will also be an interview and Q&A session during the day.

Guest appearances will include Georgina Hale (The Devils, Mahler, The Boyfriend) and Murray Melvin (A Taste of Honey, Barry Lyndon, Lisztomania, The Devils), who will discuss their frequent collaborations with director Ken Russell.

In addition, Brian Giles will present an illustrated talk on the 28mm film format, featuring an array of amazing films, and his own soundtracks.

And finally, Mary Tamm (the cult classic Tales that Witness Madness, The Odessa File, ‘Romana’ in Doctor Who, and Brookside) will be making a personal appearance from 12.00. She will be signing photos and copies of her autobiography First Generation, which will be available for sale.

The bazaar runs from 10.00 to 17.00 and there will be refreshments available.
'

Am going to try and get along!
