"The King's Speech" snatched seven honors at BAFTA's Orange British Academy Film Awards, which have just ended in London.

It won for film, outstanding British film laurel, actor for Colin Firth, supporting actress and actor honors for Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush, original screenplay for David Seidler and original music for composer Alexandre Desplat.

Best film: "The King's Speech."

Director: David Fincher, "The Social Network."

Leading actress: Natalie Portman, "Black Swan."

Leading actor: Colin Firth "The King's Speech."

Adapted screenplay: "The Social Network," Aaron Sorkin.

Cinematography: "True Grit," Roger Deakins.

Animated film: "Toy Story 3," Lee Unkrich.

Addendum: Supporting awards will be different.  I think Bale will win over Rush and Leo over Mrs. Burton (who really doesn't deserve it for this movie).

I thought it was a very funny acceptance speech,but most of his comments seemed to go completely overhead of the young uns in the audience..alot of the facial comments seemed to be..who is this old geezer?

Of the later day Horror stars, only Peter Cushing could hold a candle to Lee ( or should that be stake ). He's the Last of the greats, enjoy him now.
