For me, one of the real treats in this hobby is reading the thoughts and perspectives that other collectors share with us fellow poster geeks. That is why I love this forum and try not to miss a single day to see what is happening. While I enjoy reading about authentication, valuation, presentation, acquisition, etc., etc., what interests me the most are the 'whys' of collecting. Specifically, what genres or sub-genres do other poster collectors collect and what is it about their unique areas of expertise that enthuses them and why. I started a thread dealing with this subject a few months ago, but it fizzled out.
Many APF members have built (or are building) elaborate websites to show off their collections. Scrolling through other poster lovers' collections is one of my favorite pastimes. I especially like those who take the extra time to explain what it is about each poster that turns them on and other details about the history/production of the poster itself and the movie it was created to promote.
But, there are a handful of us on this forum (maybe more that I am unaware of) who have taken their passion for posters (and movies) to the next level -- the blogosphere. MondoHazardo (Wim), 110x75 (Matias), bosnuk's Wrong Side of the Art, Ed209uk's Film On Paper, Russ' Mean Sheets and Louie D's movie blogs are just a few that spring to mind. Each of these blogs is entertaining, informative and adds another fine layer to this fascinating hobby. I apologize for unintentionally omitting anyone.
Recently, while poking through the member's section, I found a member (Daniel) who produces an extremely cool blog -- the Illustraction Gallery. I found his website address on our forum and went there and scanned his posters for sale and found a link to his blog. I subscribed and I am glad I did. He is a gentleman with great taste and knowledge. For those of you unfamiliar with Daniel's blog and site, I strongly recommend you start here, with his 20-part series devoted to Blaxploitation movies:

Thanks for reading my ramblings and please, post your Blaxploitation posters in this thread. I think this a good start to see what paper all of you have.
