The completely random collection of posters on my office walls at the end of 2009.

The "Good Woman" poster gets the gold star out of this group.

The Diner tagline is classic: "Suddenly, life was more than french fries, gravy, and girls."

P.S. iPhone + Office Picture Manager = not so great pics, I'm afraid.

I got these on my walls right now. I know the Schindler's List is just a video poster.

I am desperately looking for a Steven Spielberg signed letter (especially with Schindler's List content). If you have one I will make you an offer you can't refuse.

Juli, cool stuff but you need to show some love to your posters, my man.  Spend some bucks on $55 fixed frames from Susan at Hollywood Poster Frames and/or $75 flip frames from Spotlight Displays and/or (last choice) $39 Trendsetter frames from Michael's.  You won't regret it.

I wouldn't know how to put the frames up though. Never hung a frame in my life.

Learn some new skills!  Now I admit I tape up my monster-size posters because the framing cost is prohibitive.  However, taping posters to the wall otherwise is pretty cheesy looking and not really acceptable except in college dorm rooms IMHO....

Oops, I was going to answer my own post earlier, but with Christmas, New Year, traveling and guests, NO TIME Sad  A little better now, but not quite yet.

Anyhow, as far as movie posters go, this is what I have up.  Aside from the Bardot poster, which I will change at some point, the other 3 have been up since 2004.

At the moment I only have 3 posters up. One is a Jack and the beanstalk Panto poster from the 30's.

^ Wow! Just curious, they allow you to put posters on your walls at work? You are very lucky. Makes work much funner to be able to have nice stuff like that on your walls while your working.

Well, as a gov employee, I probably have a little more leeway than most folks. Also, they keep my colleagues entertained and they start complaining if I don't change them every three weeks.

However, I think you could bring "sophisticated" movie posters to any workplace - just like any other artwork.  Here are some suggestions:

I just got a real Schindler's List poster and decided to put it up where the video poster used to be.

I used Mylar corners to put the poster up, and taped the Mylar corners, thus the poster can be taken down without any damage  Smiley

Thanks Brude.

They are about 11x14 and similar to window cards.  However, they were made by a secondary printer "Victor Cornelius" in Eastland, Texas.  They may have been used in windows or in restaurants (on the table or in the menu) to advertise the Bogie movies.  I am fairly confident they date from the actual release of both films in 1941.

I think they are pretty unique/interesting and will be happy to have them up on the wall!

Not easy, but they turn up every now and then.
