Bundle up all your "cheeseball" U.S. one-sheets, ship them to us, and then use the proceeds to buy more beautiful posters like this one!

Ha-ha - well, if and when "Mrs. DPM" ever arrives on the scene, I'll probably have to do that.

In the meantime, I have to "eat what I've killed":

P.S. Can anybody loan me a time machine so I can go back to March of last year and tell myself "BUY POSTERS LIKE THIS - NOT CHEESEBALL US ONE SHEETS"!

I'm pretty sure we were telling you that at the time... you just weren't listening  Wink

Glad to see your Repulsion up!  It looks fantastic.

Mel's REPULSION post brings up an excellent point...Has anybody else's poster tastes changed dramatically since they started collecting?

For me personally, I used to love the cheeseball '70s and '80s US posters with their corny/witty taglines--but am now focusing on pre-70's non-US posters.

Does this mean I've evolved aesthetically or just become anti-American? And how come it seems that nobody starts off buying beautiful Polish or French 2panels and then declines into cheap Harry Potter repros?

My very first poster was a 1968 Belgian and my second was a 1957 Polish (1961 release).

Maybe there is still time for me to come to my senses....

It's the 1990s/2000s Photoshop montage posters in my collection that bug me now.  Why in the world did I buy them?  I threw away 50 or so of them in disgust.  I still like the 60s/70s illustrated posters.

Me and my posters have been kicked out of the house.  As of today, I don't have a single poster on display in the house.  I have three in my Man Room, but that's it.  It's kind of sad, really.

Based on that statement, does that mean YOU are living in your Man Room as well?  Yikes!  Did you two get in an argument over Machete?

I am in it right now, and yes, I spend most of my time in it.  I love it.

And no, there is no argument to have over Machete.  I will only argue about what's worth arguing about.

That's cool, CJ.  Those boxes look excellent, like they were professionally made.  How much did the raw materials cost for each, around $250?  If so, building one myself would be a good way to save a few Benjamin Franklins.  You guys have inspired me to look into building my own!   Cheesy

Sorry Neo for not answering your question sooner. The materials for the boxes cost somewhere between $250.00 - $300.00. It is well worth building them yourself compared to what is out there in that price range.

No problem man.  I hear ya about the others that are in that price range, they're not exactly great.  The one from Stargate Cinema looks pretty good, for about 5 Benjamin Franklins.  It's made out of aluminum, which looks cool, and has some nice features.

Ive been missing Mel around here so I had a framing party today .. I got up early and went to see Wall Street 2 at the 10am showing and happened to notice the new SAW poster and I have to say I thought it was pretty nifty .. It was the #D "Punding Heart" poster for anyone who cares to look it up .. SO I got to thinking of all the pieces I have that are just filed away and decided I was gonna "Go Mel" on my theater room .. So I went out and spent like $300+ on some frames and acid free foam core .. and here are some shots of my framing aftermath Wink

Not sure how I want to hang all of the art/non-movie pieces yet .. So they are just hanging out in pure FA fashion Tongue

This is the beginning of my Alamo movie room !!

Heres the next wall to be conquered Tongue

More raw space that Im not quite sure what to do with yet ..

And I just love my 120" scren I had to get a shot of it in there with a couple more Alamos as well !! Smiley
