Added 50 Outstanding UK Quad Posters Showcase (1960-present) to the Showcases page.  Took me several hours to select and find high-quality images, fix them, title them, etc.  These posters take advantage of the landscape format and are superior (or at least equal) to the one sheets:

Any other nominations?

If you click on the + sign on any pic, it expands it to full size (1000 pixels).  If you leave the pic up,  the slideshow automatically starts after a few seconds.

I'll add that instruction to the page, in case viewers aren't taking advantage of the larger sizes.

Added King Kong showcase to the Showcases page.  Click on the + to expand and the slideshow will start in a few seconds.

And who doesn't love Kong?

This is a fun one - Monsters Carrying Women Showcase (and gender reversal in a couple of posters). Click the + on any to expand and start slideshow.

Let me know if I've missed a great one.

Mel, quickly off the top of my head you could add:

1955 - Tarantula
1943 - I Walked with a Zombie (the rerelease art I believe)
1968 - Green Slime (it's close anyways)

Added Outstanding Posters from Oscar Best Picture Winners 1928-1969 showcase slideshow on the Showcases page.  Some real stunners in the collection, primarily US one sheets but also some other sizes and foreign posters to mix things up.

Click on the + button to expand/start slideshow.

I've been very busy improving MPC.  I've made dozens of changes/improvements, including:

- changed/improved layout & theme to black - looks more professional IMHO (still not 100% consistent yet)
- added Book page
- added Framing, Displaying & Storing page
- reorganized and added additional Showcases, including Modern Animation posters

Any and all constructive feedback welcomed.

If changing the background to black, I suggest not using white for text as the contrast is severe on the eyes. Using at least an off white that is not so bright makes a huge difference.

Sweet Harry!

Mel's passion for the coolest hobby ever has created a hell of a site that I wish existed a year or so ago when I started.

Keep up the good work Mel. IT IS APPRECIATED!

Hey Dan - Mr. "MoviePosterAuthentications.com" himself - posted on MPF that he likes MPC and thinks the Authentications are pretty good.

I think MoviePosterCollectors.com is really ready for prime time now - many more showcases, much more professional and attractive appearance, much more information, etc.  It's the website I wish had existed two years ago when I started collecting.  And the best thing is that is 100% non-commercial, unlike virtually every other movie poster website.

I've also added several new showcases on the the Showcases page, including Vintage Animated posters showcase, the Vintage Monsters posters showcase, a Vintage Japanese posters showcase, and a greatly improved one sheet James Bond showcase. (I eventually will do an international James Bond showcase as well.)

If you like it, please send it to your friends who may be interested in collecting and, if you have a website, please add a link to it, so that it will get a prominent listing in the Google search results so that newbies can find it.

Always looking for any and all constructive feedback too.

Definitely a top notch site, Mel.  Good job.  Your website would be the first one I would mention to anyone who wants to know more about originals, with Professor Powers' website being a close second.   :D  The first paragraph on the "info page". on Professor Powers' website is cool.  But like I said, I would recommend your website first because it is slightly better overall than Professor Powers'.  8)

That guy is classic!

Many novice collectors have filled their websites with rumors and suppositions based upon scant knowledge of the printing and movie industry-- these sites have promoted concepts that I have found much fault with. Having the proper credentials as professional dealer/collector and authenticator (please read the About Me section of my website), I hope to educate and enlighten you on many topics that seem to be grey areas on other websites. You will find no grey areas here, as I deal only with hard facts and absolutes. I am certain that you will enjoy my website and learn the "tricks of the trade" needed to wend your way through the thickets.

From what I've read on his website, I must agree.  He seems to be a very knowledgeable, well-traveled professor.  ;)
