Hi everyone

Was recommended this forum by Fallen angel - sure everyone knows him. I realised that I actually joined this forum in July but never used it - think I forgot it. so here I go.

I'm based in the North England and I collect mainly Polish, Czech and Japanese movie posters, but I also have lots of UK Quads and US 1 sheets, and lots of other various stuff that's I'd like to sell (trying to scale down my collection and concentrate on my main interests). I also recently (about 6 months ago) started to collect Alamo Drafthouse screen prints, and similar art print movie posters such as Red Vic collection, and Alien Corset. I'm collected about 50 or so in the last 6 months and probably spend a small fortune - but I am a bit obssessed with them.

Earlier this year I curated an exhibition of my Polish Posters (some of them) in Manchester, If you wanna look at some of them check my Facebook Event page for the exhibition: http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=113216898693338

Lastly, wanted to congratulate Fallen Angel for his excellent tribute site to Alamo Drafthouse - all the posters are brilliant. If anyone is interested I an keen to organise a exhibition of Alamo posters here in Manchester next year. If anyone wants to join forces with me to do this please get in touch, ditto if you have any framed Alamo posters that you would like to loan for the exhibition.
Cheers all and look forward to hear from you .

Happy New Year in just over 24 hours

Hi, Jonkino.  Some of us use photobucket or picasa, where we upload pics and then use the [IMG] code to post direct to this forum. If you open an account with either and need assistance with your posts, just let us know (post or PM).
If your avatar is any indication of what you collect/exhibit, I (for one) am only too eager to see what you have.  thumbup

Sorry not been back on here since posting this just been so busy. But I am please caused this week as the  other day I managed to by the Polish poster poster version of Indian Jones - really cool. I will I promise put some up here somehow as soon as I get chance. Do you mean use Picasa on my computer or is there a online site to load up to?? Which is best site to use: Flicker or Photobucket? I have accounts on them both but only used them once years ago.  What do you mean be IMG code?

Oh and can someone tell me where it the best place to put them? [I mean where to share by posters - is there a certain forum thread that I  should use?]. I'm quite new to this forum thing.

I use Photobucket, but plenty use Flickr, too.  In PB, you upload your image and once it's done hover your mouse over it.  An option menu will show.  Click on the option the says "IMG code" (minus the "", of course).  Once you click on it it'll automatically copy the code (you don't have to right click and copy).  Then just paste the image code (or IMG code  Wink ) in your post.  There are numerous threads for all types of posters: Latest acquisitions, Alamo, art prints, Aussie daybills, etc.  Search out the proper thread and post to your heart's content.

Thanks, and sorry for really terrible errors in my post. About a year ago I had a stroke and lost all my communication skills. I 'm well ok now but it has left me a bit dislexic when typing. This is accelerated by the fact that replying to posts using an iPhone is a bit of a nightmare. One wrong character and it changes the word. Spell it wrong and it changes it to something else. Sometimes whole sentence structure changes and you don't notice the screen cause you'd concentrating so much to hit the right keys! It's a bit embarrassing when I read back the text sometimes.
Cheers - will have a go at it, posting images at some stage -honest!

You Ari, are the only one in the whole world I like that eats offal, misses his dead rat carcasses, draws women on walls with skin peeling off of them and keeps a meat cleaver by his bed.
