Taxi driver authentication
« on: May 15, 2023, 02:28:12 PM »
Dear poster experts
I have a Taxi Driver poster purchased here in Switzerland from the secondary market and someone who has looked at the pictures now claims that the poster is not original.
It is approx. 40x24.5 inch.
It is in unfolded condition. In the archive on emovieposter the similar posters are all folded.
The paper appears to be not new.
What is your opinion?
Thank you
Dani

Hard to tell from pictures, but size is everything.  In centimeters, it should be 104cm.  At 101cm, not even close, so yes, reprint.

Sorry :(

Looks like a reprint.

The image is cropped.

Check out the “One” text on the one way sign, top left.
The “o” on yours is cropped compared to the original.

Here is an original that I just sold a few weeks ago.

Card payment? Paypal? Ebay?
Proceed with small claim for fake and get reimbursed.
Sorry mate!
Crucifixion? Good. Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each.

It was a kind of by-catch as part of a larger set of art posters. So money is not the problem.
Thank you all.
