Odds and Ends from Collection...
« on: January 26, 2023, 01:43:00 AM »
Hey, all.

So as I said in my initial post, I'm a relative newcomer to the game, having only been seriously collecting for the last 3-4 years. I've been kind of on a mad dash over this period and have managed to acquire about 250-300 posters, an amount with which I WAS fairly chuffed... until I started chatting with some of the more long-timers who are rolling, oh... 2000, 5000... 17,000 deep.

I have thusly become humbled.

Anyway, the main period from which i've been collecting has been the 1970's through the early 1980's. I have a lot of the common classics from that period.... a lot of Struzan, Amsel and Alvin, with some Bob Peak and a couple of others thrown in for good measure. Star Wars A, B, C, D, etc. I mostly collect posters for films from my childhood through my teens, most all of which I distinctly remember seeing in the theater lobby when these films were first released. So here is a sample from my little collection that might, for some, be a bit off the beaten path. Will eventually post more....

Nice (and very enthusiastic) collection you've apparently assembled in a short amount of time. ZARDOZ is always a classic in my book. BREAKING GLASS? Huh... never of it (and I'm probably older than you). ENTER THE DRAGON---Good for you. That's a hard/costly one to snag, I understand. The others are swell as well. Welcome to the hobby that goes on and on and on and on.... Enjoy yourself!!!

Thanks much.

"Breaking Glass" is actually a Tom Chantrell poster. It's a sort of cult film from the 80's about a punk/rock band just starting out.

Seen it about a dozen times on ON-TV (remember that?) as a kid.
