Sometimes incorrectly attributed to James Montgomery Flagg, who did a special one-sheet for this movie.

Here is the special one sheet, which Bonhams is auctioning this month by chance:

Who drew the Style C?

I never saw that before, Mel, and whatever it is, it shows Flagg DID draw the regular style I said he didn't.

The one-sheet I was referring to has a different signed image (on the actual poster).

As the art you reproduced shows, they cropped his signature from the one-sheet (maybe because it is fairly crappy Flagg art).

I hope you can find out more about what that is!

I met a nice chap called Bill Gillespie a few days ago here in Sydney and checked out his website of his superb original German posters from around the WW1 & WW2.

Coming up in the next Heritage sig - supposedly only two 30x40 "Anatomy of a Murder" posters left in the cosmos - I've heard a rumor one of our members has a 40x60....

Well, there are surely more than two 1-sheets left, but I'm not complaining as I only paid $200 for it.  ;D  I came in a lot of other posters and after I sell those it should bring the cost down to around $75.  The only flaws are a single pinhole in each corner and a Dutch censor stamp.
