I saw an actual copy of this recently, and it is even more stunning in person. The colors are just amazing and striking!!  bed1

The RealArt House of Dracula insert recently sold for $2,500.  All the posters for this movie are pretty good:

From the 1947RR pressbook, these Frankenstein/Dracula combo posters... the US OS and the 3sh.  Spectacular, imo!!  sm1
Do copies of either of these exist?

Unfortunately, just like the half sheet and insert for the single films, that combo one-sheet is also duo-tone.
And while some people may say the duo-tone pieces are nice, the demand for them is very low; I had a nice unrestored half sheet for Dracula listed on my old site at $2500 for the longest time (and around the time I had sold two copies of the one-sheet at $42,000 and $47,000 each).
It was quite baffling

Mel, I have the Realart HoD proudly displayed. It is a better poster I think than the original and very colorful

Yep, the RealArt beats the original by a country mile.

It's quite clear where the inspiration for the baby Ingagi came from:

I think some of Bruce Cabot's extended neck should have been delegated to Robert Armstrong, on this one. And when did Wray go brown-auburn? rofl1

But I like Kong's stylized facial features, tho..   thumbup   it's different and more unique.  And a great looking poster, even so.

Yikes, I didn't even notice those all the funky necks.  I was just amused by Catfish Kong :)

A great depiction of Rita for sure... it's unfortunate that the copy being offered is SO BADLY faded. Look at Orson and Rita's skin tones in their embrace at right.  Yikes.  And this is even after "Color touchup has also been applied to correct slight fading."  It looks like the punched up the lips and maybe added some yellow back in the hair to give some definition.  I'm with Chris on this one anyway... as nice as this poster is, I much prefer the Italian.

Still, can anyone name another movie where so many countries consistently came up with such striking designs?

It's all because of Rita :)

And great observation Matt.  Did not realize it was so faded (and it clearly is substantially - the red Columbia logo is nearly non-existent!)

I love Ballester. But on this occasion I take the FR. Thanks Matt for posting another one in its full glory. ;)

Here they are head to head - I still prefer the French (not proportional, the French is slightly larger):

P.S. I used the "remove color cast" command to whiten/brighten images above by selecting the interior of the word "Rita" - which presumably was originally pure white - in both posters.  It's difficult to know just how "white" the original paper was.  I assume the original paper was pretty close to pure white.  Below is a pic of my very-well-preserved "Colossus of New York" (1958) that, despite 56 years of acidification, still looks very white. I've inserted a new white piece of paper for comparison:

The French is nice but there are a couple of reasons I prefer the Italian.  Frankly the US 3 sheet is before it too.  Different strokes and all...
