It is the Style A OS (studio "sound" issue), 1929.

On the subject of Casablanca, you might want to check out the beautiful Spanish Herald. Maybe not the largest, but absolutely beautiful. Though my favourite Casablanca is the US Insert. I do not care that much for the Martinati. Why? Because it looks like a cheesecake poster.

So, yes, reissue.

There is an earlier pre-sound poster which is also not first release, which has been auctioned as first release.

But none of these are technically "re-release" because the movie was in continuous re-release for over two years, so they are just not "first release" (the true first release poster has a propeller design, and Gary Cooper does not receive equal billing).

Well, if that is your rationalization then you could say the same thing about all the Chaplin posters in the 20's which promote his Keystone, Essanay and Mutual shorts.

This very cool Rhapsody of Steel (1959 US 1S) sold tonight for $85 (not to me).  I like the logo and minimalist futuristic layout:

Tarzan The Fearless (1933 US 1S): The poster is apparently much better than the film.  According to Wikipedia,  the "serial was extremely crude" and "almost devoid of music" as well as suffering from poor sound. A score was later taken from old westerns and "minutes passed" with silent (no sound effects, music or dialogue) stock footage of distant animals.

As nice as that Walking Dead is, I think I prefer the 42 release poster.. Any chance of a side by side Mel?
