Looks ok

Yep, I'd say the US posters are unexceptional and the foreign posters (mostly re-releases due to WWII) are much better.  Overall, though, the film exceeds the marketing materials.

Dammit.. I was going to catch up with my beauty sleep, but I have to say this, or Bogie will kill me.

I read what some of you have posted. And it is cool. Great to have opinions. And here it is mine.

i read the comments about the art, and whether it is good, bad, or the ugly. I don't see it that way.....In my ever so humble opinion here ..dammit it is 3am in london ..and need to say this properly...

what i mean is when buying a poster like casablanca, you are not buying a poster because it looks nice or its art.

It is an iconic piece. It has far greater value. You are buying a piece of film history. I would go as far as saying that you get a piece of that rare thing call History. Period. It has such a robust stand, all the quotes, the look, everthing. Man, I would die for a piece like this.

Here, I said it. Now, me and me Bogie are going to catch with our beauty sleep.

Thank you all for listening (no talking behind my back) this lady has a day off tomorrow  so will comeback...

aaaaaaaaaaah spooky thought

nite-nite - here is looking at you kid

Doh!  hitself  I knew that, too.
With all the old stuff around here and the dark coloring of the paper in the pic I must have typed faster than my brain could process, which I'm apt to do. Apologies.
Now I don't feel so guilty wanting it. thumbup

Casablanca (1942 US 6S)

Yeah, not that great.  WTF is Bogie looking at?  And Bergman is saying "where are my fries?".  I'd take the 1/2 sheet or the insert over this any day.

Bogie is looking at both her nose and the back of her head simultaneously. He is an extra-ordinary human, taking in all her lushiousness at once.

Thanks Jeff,

I had a good look at HA site. Good description i thought tho i'd like to know if it looks so ''lively'' in  person as in the pic. As you mentioned before in the forum, some posters do look like they might have a color boost. It looks pretty nice to me though. I am now thinking now where to hang it... ;D

Rosa, you just need to fly to Dallas for the auction and be the winning bidder. Easy enough, right?  ;D

That way, you can carry it home, and no waiting for it to arrive in the post!!
