And while I'm at it, I would like these as well...

Great insert, but I prefer the Austrian 3-sheet.   bed1

Well, phew, I found the Italian The Letter on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/THE-LETTER-OMBRE-MALESI-MANIFESTO-ORIGINALE1EDIZ1947-/190543754932?pt=Film_Stranieri&hash=item2c5d4af6b4

Anyone with 20,000 Euros handy?  I'm good for it...
that dudes always more than twice the price a poster should be!
but he always does have nice examples to go with his prices.
I don't know much, but i do know what my eyes are telling me!

There were two things I liked better about this 3-sheet than the insert... The nice red 'D' in Deitrich and the fact that it is 9 feet tall.

Which 2 things did you fellas like better about it?  8)

Two things?

One. The colors are more pronounced and two... the art is more fun!

I thought "more fun" would be more appropriate as I am thinking that lil kids stay up late just to read this board.

They are both exquisite but I prefer this one for a lot of reasons:
the eyes, the hair, the colors, the typography and the layout.

But, I'd kill for either.

I like the Tarzan Of The Amazons too, Mirosae.

I enquired about an Italian 4F of the same title 2 years ago. I like the image, but when the seller sent me a better photo I had requested I was left disappointed.

The seller on the website says look at the poster for condition, however as can be seen, that is a load of crock.

did you buy from him? i never did. I dunno, i just don't trust him. I know it sounds a bit weird and as I said above maybe I'm being unfair.  There is something about his website and his posters that makes me feel uncomfortable. Hi posters are too rare, which might be something stupid to say but then some of the prices, well sometimes they are a bit odd too... and I just keep wondering if they are real. That said, I regret now what i wrote earlier, as I said, maybe I am being unfair. Maybe he is a decent, honest dealer. I just cannot buy from him.  And i do buy from the internet, though I much, much rather buy to a dealer, those selling in the street, on a stand that knows what he is selling (and cares). Plenty of those in London..

Hi Mir,

Yes, I bought from him, as have others here on the board. His collection (regardless of his prices) is amazing, and yes, they are real and rare gems, that's for sure. True, his prices are very high, but then, so are the prices of other dealers, like Dominique Besson, who also has an amazing collection of many rare and beautiful posters that are offered for sale.

I spoke to benito prior to buying and he was polite, well informed and knowledgeable. He explained that he has been on the poster search and hunt for years, traveling thru Europe, looking for, and adding to his personal collection as well as those he offers for sale.

Does benito have sky high prices- yes, no doubt about that. But he has things that no other seller or dealer may ever have (unless someone who bought from benito decides to consign to another dealer/auction house later on, that is  ;) ).

Hi Jeff, well, you just answered one of the questions I was going to ask in this forum. I thought that his catalog was too good to be true[/. Glad to know that he's a good dealer. He has a Ballester that well, it is just unreal, I will die for that one.. i really, really, really would love that poster.

will start saving
