What's really sad is that Jay Shaw is an awesome artist, and it seems like he's gone mainstream to satisfy the Mondo Clan.  I can't blame a guy for wanting to make some money, but WTF, these are pretty bad.
Best regards,

Charlie to the guy who lost to EatBrie:  You just got "T-boned"!  Happens to the best of us...  Wait until you get "Holidazed"!

Thierry to Silhouette:  Please tell her it's a tiny part of my collection so she doesn't think I'm a total creep.  Oh wait, no, I am a total creep.

Isn't it supposed to be "Eye of the Tiger" not mouth of the tiger?

Speaking of Sly Stallone, did anyone see this image taken of a painting in the Vatican City?
Good likeness!

Holy mackerel!

And I thought the Nic Cage and the 1870s vampire pic was eerie...

Maybe it was the films, but this set of 3 came across as the worst run of posters that I can recall.

Most of Jays newer works dont seem to flip that well. I personally prefer his older pieces like Shining and Videodrome .. This new stuff just isn't for me.

Last night, whilst reading most of the..meh feedback from the latest releases,I actually took the time to browse through the Alamo Cinema website..

My feelings on the art prints released are very evident for anyone to check back on,however so far as what Alamo do with regards to screening digital(?) prints of classic movies and trying to make going to the movies an "event" is to be highly appauded.

Very well done.

Yep, I agree completely, I'd kill to have a good independent cinema like that near me in the UK.

Yeah you take them for granted when they are down the street.  There are three Houston locations.  I've never heard of them selling posters at these, so what is the point...  My local theaters has a summer run of old movies...

I actually don't mind Paths and I think that Rocky III should at least be applauded for the effort, if not the execution - at least it wasn't another Whalen or a paint by numbers Stout...

Shaw, however, is simply terrible, as usual.

All of these do remind me of a quote from Community, the best comedy on TV, "just because something is in black and white, doesn't mean it's good"...

Sorry!  I'm now trying to pay for new by selling old.  Im tired of the prints.  There's a few I want to keep, but most will go.  Soooooo... Of there's anything else from my collection you're interested in, let me know ( this goes for all if you).

Serious.
Best regards,

Holiday

I'm curious.  What has made you  -- like some others -- abandon these nickel-and-dime, faux movie posters?
Ooops.  Maybe I answered my own question?
Seriously, why ditch them at this point?
