I would say that I succeed 90% of the time.  It used to be 100%, but there are just too many people trying to get prints nowadays.  I failed 3 times this year, and resorted on flippers to get my prints.

I was surprised Toy Story sold out as quickly as it did, especially with 500 prints, but they're keeping a bunch for the screening, so it makes sense.

As an observer,I think it`s disappointing that for someone who has been an ardent buyer and supporter of Mondo that you have had to resort to buying from flippers..I don`t think there is any solution to the current situation, but it would be great if some kind of loyalty scheme could be introduced for the base collectors who have been collecting since the start.

Nah, it's okay.  At the end of the day, it's a business.  They don't owe anything to anyone.  Plus, I am not the most liked collector over there.  Seems like I have a big mouth ;)

Stewart and Thierry both make valid points. I had been collecting their prints since 2006 - I have close to 250 different examples for the five year period 2006 to 2010 (I never flipped a single one) - I reckon 90-95% were bought directly from them - it would have been nice to have received some acknowledgement of my interest, support and financial commitment over the years (particularly as I had the additional burden of international shipping costs) but I do not recall a single instance, other than occasional bonus posters in the early years, of this happening.

Why should they care? They have a successful business model and a voracious customer base. I stopped buying their posters in December 2010.

Have I said that I'm so sick of Tom Whalen's one-trick pony talent that I'm ready to puke?  It's the same fucking poster, over and over and over and  puke2

This time, they're calling it Toy Story.

You couldn't be more right.  But since I only own one, it will be Toy Story.

Ted, we need a button -- "click here to go fuck yourself"

That would be appropriate for use at the time of Mondo drops.

These may be the ugliest posters to ever come from Mondo.  Terrible colors and totally uninspiring.  Plus, who the hell wants a poster of Glenn Danzig fighting a snake??

I didn't notice the resemblance til now.
I have to disagree on the ugly factor.  I think CONAN is well rendered and the layout is great.

I agree.  It's really aesthetically unpleasing.

Its just none of these are their "top-tier" prints .. The next major title and major artist combo that comes up will still cause all the smae ol' issues ;)

So... how long did it take them to sell out of these things?  The fact that they did is a testament to Mondo's reach.  They could pretty much sell anything nowadays.
