For you maybe... Ghibli, like most anime, is over rated crap.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Studio Ghibli is not anime.

I didn't say that it was.  I said that Ghibli is crap and so is most anime.  I would have had to use the phrase 'Ghibli, like most other anime...' to imply what you suggest...

Ponyo (minus the wave sequence) was painfully bad.

this all reminds me of another thread at another place.
Its good people are passionate about films.
I often get in trouble around the traps with my taste in movies (and worse with music). The amount of times I hold my tongue.

It's a great film.

It's a laughably terrible and terribly gutless Little Mermaid.

Locals only?
That is a shame.  Such a nice print.

Im sure it will have a large enough print run that at least some of the regulars will make it o an online drop.

Bob Ross?

Here is my Bob Ross print I picked up (among others) from the Mike Mitchell show last weekend (pretty much, like, best print EVARRR):

Re: ET.

My wife and are have always wanted to visit Austin and after seeing that ET was screening in 35mm, have made plans to go down that weekend on June 8th.

However, up until today, Mondo has stated that all tickets for all the shows were going on sale, so I thought I would have a chance as attention is directed all over the place via different screenings for their Summer of '82 series. But now it looks like that is not the case as tickets are staggered a couple weeks (if not less) before each screening, making it hard to book a flight, get hotel, etc...far in advance, not knowing if I can score tickets to the screening.

Still hope to go, but my odds of getting the tickets now are much lower. Really annoying, makes no sense.

hi all
for fear of being a called a douche bag, i am aplogising upfront if this topic has been done, i tried to look through this topic and at 106 pages i felt a little daunted!

I just wanted to get some quick info on the Goldfinger Alamo poster

should all versions be numbered and signed ? I know about the run of 300 numbered and signed, what about any others (and no i dont want to talk about the red ones!)

thanks
Paul

Paul, you douche!

(Just jokes...)

There was one print run, but some got signed and numbered from Slater, others were just sold unsigned and unnumbered, namely the batch sold at the show and in various dealers who got a small haul from the show (Poster Cabaret, etc...). Both versions are legit, and as I said, from the only and same print run (forgetting offhand what the edition size was). Hope that helps.

I am SOOOOOOOO glad Mondo chose to release the Moss today and not tomorrow when I'll be on a plane.  I don't care much for the Whalen, but I love the Moss they released today.

Yes, and I love it.  Probably one of my favorite Mondo releases in a long time.

Yes, and I love it.  Probably one of my favorite Mondo releases in a long time.

I love most of what Moss does, but feel he made a poster for something like The Avengers as cool as it probably could have been. Great image, simple and clean. Great print. Pumped that I got one.

With 20,000 Leagues and now this, Mondo has hit back to back home runs, IMO.

However, the streak ends tomorrow. Whalen Hawkeye...coming soon to a junior high kids room near you. So tired of Whalen, most Mondo's fault than his.

I dont know ,, I see the way the gun was done as a design flaw .. Too many people all see the trigger guard as something odd that seems out of place. if they could have made it more like the hair instead of one solid piece. They could have faded out parts of the gun and made it fit its role better. My terminology is a bit vague because I dont know the precises words to describe what Im waiting to say.. But they could have played with the texture on the gun to make it not stick out as badly. But who knows maybe I will get it and be blown away in person! :)

It's actually quite funny when you see both prints next to each other.  One is from a true artist with great inspiration, the other... is not ;). And the choice of colors on the Whalen is... not that nice (trying not to say what I really think.)
