There are plenty of them for super cheap on Ebay.  I'm personally passing on this one.

I also picked this up at MMMIX .. They said it wasnt ready for the screening so it was being sold to us "exclusively" and it would not be available online ..

The whole tearing out the innards of a baby thing is both disgusting and lame at the same time. I think the creativity Mondo is showing with these MMM is great in terms of producing an unforgettable experience, but if I would have flown down to Austin to wait on a bus for an hour to see a baby 'torn' apart for an average poster I would have been livid.

The hype machine sounds like it was at an all time high, but it will never satisfy people going on a whim who might not like the 'mystery'. If they wanted the best reaction to reward their hard prep work, they should consider advertising the title of the film. The audience would probably then help tear the babies up and see their favorite film, after arriving in town from all over the place.

That, in the words of fallen, would be EPIC.  ;)

LOL .. you and a lot of other people agree .. I only got it because it was "exclusive" and had hope some one with different taste than myself would like it and may want to trade for something .. They cost $35 and one has already sold for $100 ..

Well.. You know it wasnt a real baby ... right? :P  Actually I'm not a fan of 70's zombie flicks but it was Halloween and I think it was an unforgettable experience .. Sure it wasnt a Stout PF or Fight Club or whatever .. It was still pretty awesome .. But as Ive said .. I doubt I will go to another MMM unless its just so that I can hang out with some of my new friends .. I think it took 7 mediocre MMM movies (thats totally my opinion some people may love any or all of those movies) to realize that even though we hope for another Stout Akira you shouldnt go expecting that .. Because it will just ruin the whole experience for you because I doubt that phenomenon will ever happen again ... It really is a blast just going down and hanging out with fellow collectors .. I got the meet some awesome people in LA and got lots of places I may have never seen otherwise .. I got to meet Mr Brainwash and some of the Mondo guest .. as well as seeing Romero at MMMIX .. and you cant imagine how awesome it is to be driving down the highway with a police escort blocking off traffic as you go down town and blow through red lights to roll up into a zombie attack in a mall parking lot .. It was epic even if the movie wasnt the best (IMO) the rest of the event more than made up for it.

I got the meet some awesome people in LA and got lots of places I may have never seen otherwise.

This is exactly why I run marathons all over the place.  It gives me a reason to visit cities I would have never gone to otherwise.

As far as meeting awesome people...  I can't agree with you there.  EB fans frighten me.  I don't need a bunch of fake zombies when I'm with them.

I'm fucking cursed when it comes to Mondo's website...carted the print today and it just hung on the white check out screen. Same for about the last 3 releases I have tried for. I know it's not my line as I'm at work and it's super quick. I wonder if it's a UK thing.

I'm gonna ditch FF and try Chrome for the next one!

I already have the 1st edition and didn't really care for it.. so I didn't have the desire to fight with everyone trying to pick up the 2nd edition as well ..

Instead of ditching FF, ditch Mondo!  This is the shit that made me stop buying their prints at drop time.  It's just ridiculous the problems that occur.

I pretty much exclusively use FireFox.. and that includes Mondo drops and Im successful more times than not.. Now the fact that you are int he UK does seem to make a difference .. Its not just how fast your computer is .. or your internet connection .. but all the links in between you and Mondo and if you get routed through a bottle neck just those few seconds can screw everything up .. I have seen multiple times where people outside of the US complain about lag and WSoD and other issues .. But it also depends (mostly) on how fast you are on the drop .. If you are not there the instant they popup .. or if you wait for the tweet you are now fighting for whatever bandwidth goes through all those servers that are linked to Mondo with 100's if not 1,000's of people..

Ive had an instance where I was at work and I saw our connection was running slow due to internal network congestion (nothing to do with internet speeds) and a drop was coming so I remoted into my home PC (where i have business class data) and made it through using my home PC which bypassed my bogged down work network .. The internet itself is fast .. but when people subscribe for internet connections or hosting services they typically only get a small dirt road to their humble abode, like my business class connection only gets about 1.7MB, its advertised as a 10Mb connection though and it works just fine for me ... But just imagine if I hosted the Super Bowl and there was only that one road to my location .. any other day of the week that roads fine for what they use it for but not for this kind of traffic.. If you went to my website today and stared to DL every picture on there I doubt Id notice but if 100 people all hit my site at the same time a promise you it would crash :)

It will be an interesting experiment.  Out of 50 drops (I'm just guessing), I have missed one (knock on wood).  It usually takes me 10 seconds to finalize a purchase.  I use Firefox.  I'll be in Paris next week.  My sister has a fast connection.  If they have a drop, I will try it and report whether I got the item or not.

That's exactly it. Unless you're prepared to sit staring at a computer screen for an hour or two around the usual drop time tapping F5 you'll have to be lucky. My time is more valuable.

Well, then I guess I'm lucky because all I do is I wait for the tweet and get the print.  It's not that complicated.

I'm not generally a Star Trek fan but have a soft spot for the BORG.  So anyone who doesn't want the new print, and is happy to help this aussie out, would love a variant, but would also be happy with a regular.  All your costs covered...

PM'd ya Charlie. Anyone go for the prints today?

I'm a comic reader, but didn't bother as I don't really like Superman. It's a nice looking print though.

I wonder if Mondo will be producing less film poster prints now because of this tie in with DC. It sounds like the DC tie is mainly focused on comic prints as oppose to the DC films. It'll be interesting to see the artists they use too...with some comics/characters/stories, the reason I love them is quite often because of the artwork. If another artists do their take, I wonder if it'll be a bit patchy (if that makes sense). Anyway, I will look forward to seeing more...

PS - belated Happy Thanksgiving to you US based folk!  :)

I was able to pickup one of the FOS prints today .. I was surprised to see the resale price is already hovering around $200 with one that hit $400 (supposedly) on ebay. :P

I was going to but I am not really a big fan of "prints". Grats though, it's a nice looking piece.

FYI... I just updated the Alamo Drafthouse / Rolling Road Show Poster Complete List (2010-2011) thread.  I believe the AlamoMondo listings are now up to date.

Needless to say, Mondo released A LOT of prints in 2011, not all very good, unfortunately.
