Although I am sure it is more than meets the eye, I'm still not buying it.

Unless it changes into a poster for a good film, then I'm out...

So I was able to pick one of the Transformers prints up! :) It wasnt very hard at all .. I wonder if the fanboy/flipper craze is passing and maybe those of who buy to collect may have a better chance of picking up the prints that we want.

I think flippers might be realizing that - Moss, Stout, Ansin, Danger excepted - most of Mondo stuff does not resell well.  It's about time.

Also, this Transformers print is really not great (sorry Dave).

I was thinking about trying for this, but at the same time, I am not all that wowed by it. The graphic design looks marginal and there isnt enough contrast, by way of color, imo, either.

I bought one, just cause of it being a classic film, art is not the greatest.

At the risk of being overly critical...the perspective of the chainsaw blade looks a bit odd, Leatherface looks a bit puny (like a teenager with the mask on) and his tie looks a bit flashy. Can't remember him killing him a lady with a chainsaw either! It's an ok print, but I passed despite loving the film.

Interesting take on TCM, but to me, Leatherface looks a bit too much like that kid from Jake & Drosh... or Drake & Josh or ...whatever...
This kid...

i did want 1... went a piss and it dropped..

I shared awhile back when the Tron drop came that I was standing at a urinal at a rest stop on the Florida Turnpike holding my dick in one hand and the phone in the other, trying to go through Mondo's hideous checkout all the while. Amazing that the other drop did not happen - that being the phone into the urinal of piss.
Best regards,

Holiday

Truthfully, the French poster of the same design is better, IMO.

Just when I thought 2011 could be Worst Mondo Year Ever...they go and do something like this...and TOTALLY REDEEM THEMSELVES...

Drew Struzan Frankenstein. Record 30+colors/screens. Unreal.

Price on this baby is going to be high.

Also, here is the new Mondo Archive...bout time, looks fantastic.

even I gotta say it, that Frankenstein looks pretty cool.  Where do I pick one of those up?

To have a 1% chance of getting this, buy a $200 gift certificate from Mondo, take the day off from work when it is released, upgrade your home internet service, sit by your computer pressing F5 madly for several hours straight until it randomly goes on sale, and maniacally enter all the order information with lightning-fast speed.  Also consider sacrificing a goat to the poster gods.

Alternatively, skip the initial sale, earn $1000 selling crack, and buy off Ebay from the flippers.

Not to discourage you or anything....

I suspect the price may be north of $250. Hope I am wrong though.

I dont know .. I know demand will be high .. BUT .. the initial price will be high as well .. I see a lot of guys on EB saying that they will not pay $200+ for this print ... So I bet it the edition size is large enough and the price high enough it may be easy to pick up .. AND .. whatever deal they struck to get this print probably wasnt cheap, so Im leaning towards even more expensive that maybe the $250 .. Maybe $300+. Thats all unfounded speculation though.
