Im sorry T...I was only joking. I had no idea someone actually teased you in high school about the topic.

Remember... you asked me to participate more.

As for the poster. Not a fan of it. Some Disney fans may have a better appreciation for it.

I actually like the Mickey one, and almost all of these do nothing for me. It has a retro feel, which is probably totally wrong for the people they are aimed at.

I, too, like the art deco look of the poster (won't be getting it, though)

Very nice ... I'm not clued up with the mondo releases, so when does this go on sale?

Best,
Adam

The posters drop at various times and they announce it via Twitter.  You have to subscribe to their Twitter feed and wait for the announcement.  Needless to say, it's a good idea to be logged into Mondo and your Paypal account as many of better releases tend to get sold out in seconds

Went on sale and sold out in two and a half minutes. I spent those two and a half minutes being told the website had crashed.

Anybody get one? :(

They're already going up on eBay and selling the second they go up for $100-$200. The insanity...

Another Mondotees meltdown - sellout in 60 seconds.  They must not have put up many for sale online.

I hate flippers.  Daniel Danger's releasing some Black Keys prints and a few others, and he specifically says to that if he finds people buying and listing on ebay, he will bar them from ever purchasing again.

Why Mondo does not do this I have no clue.

There are already five or six on eBay for $200. It's pretty obvious to me that a group of people must all buy them and work with each other to make sure they all get two hundred bucks.

And once again, notwithstanding that fact which I agree with, we are all ho's and we keep buying.

If we all told them to piss off, they would change.  But we are all ho's....

The scary thing is that this is the first of a projected series. What if they brand some of these posters with Pixar characters? You make a poster for Luxo Jr. and you'll have Pixies stabbing each other through the heart with fractured pieces of unicycles.

There will be blood.

Nah, i bet not many get $200.  Its the dumb ones who are trying that.  Wait a couple of weeks and they will be $60.  It's just greedy people that try to capitalize on the frenzy.  This is a print you will be able to get even a year or two later at under $100.  Bank on it.

I expect as such. These instant-eBayers who list the auction the second their purchase goes through are just capitalizing on the hundreds of frenzied fans who will do anything impulsively for a piece of paper with Mickey Mouse on it.

I will bide my time. I see myself wanting this poster very much. Because I am a loser.

Good choice.  There are precious few mondo prints that have consistently commanded a $200 pricetag.  And I'd have to check, but I would say that fully three quarters of those are by Tyler Stout.  There are a few others, but not many, and that includes some pretty rare ones that are 4 or 5 years old.  Based on the artist and the print run, this will not be one of them.

I've been working behind the scenes to clean it all up on my site.  I have a bunch of posters that were never listed and a bunch more that have come in since the update last July.  It's been a lot of work to compile it all, but I'm hacking at it bit at a time.

Waiting is definitely good for these posters. I betcha Whalen will have artist proofs up within the next month.
Best regards,

Holiday

I liked this not, not loved, but picked one up. Pretty smooth checkout really, was amazed that it sold out that fast though.
