If you must know, it's a photograph from a 1970s game featured in the sports section of the Newseum here in DC (which is an awesome museum BTW).  I'm pretty sure it said it was a Cowboys game, since they were the team of the 70s.

My bad - it was the 1981 Orange Bowl.  Totally off topic, but some pretty cool sports shots (along with this one) here.  But the description is perhaps apt?

During that time I went to the Orange Bowl game in Miami. In that crowd was a guy who was about three times my size with this oversized hat. Early in your career, it's very hard to stop a person to shoot them - especially if they are a freak. You don't want to single him out. I kept walking by this guy, but I couldn't get comfortable. After three quarters into the game, I know I have to take the picture. I snapped one or two and left.
