Not sure how far this will get you or how different it is from the Mondo Archive, but here is a search of 'mondo' on EB:

http://expressobeans.com/public/search.php?text=mondo&class=0

Good one. Although again I don't think it's comprehensive and it brings up other artists too e.g. Armondo Williams :)

I have adjusted the link so it displays 150 pieces per page

http://expressobeans.com/public/search.php?text=mondo&ipp=150&page=1

You can change the URL by adjusting the 150 to any number. Or if you're a member, you can set the number of pieces per page by going to:

My Page > Account Settings> Items per pages.

Nice, didn't know about that setting. Thanks!

No worries! 'twas a good idea to search Mondo tag. I think there must be quite a few pieces that haven't been tagged with Mondo in the EB database, maybe one day someone with time on their hands can go through and update.

You can always check my little colection.  I have some 200 Mondos or something.

Is there a better collection of Mondo stuff out there? Doubt it! Very nice. I forgot how cool that Zombi 2 poster is :D

Thanks, but I'm sure there is.  Some collectors buy everything.  I only buy what I like and less and less in the past few years because quality has gone down drastically IMO.  Sadly, I feel they're going for quantity and quick profit nowadays.  I haven't been excited about anything in quite some time.  They had a great Durieux exhibit earlier this year, but the rest has been a major bah...  I would love my collection to expend but sadly I feel those days are gone.

:(

It's a good thing for us with shallow wallets, T!!  ;)

But I do agree, the quality over quantity output  this year took a nose dive. The last show with Ansin and Tong was quite tepid. And with what they've released thus far from the upcoming Taylor show is average at best (imho). I like Taylor's work, in fact I have his Poltergeist and 20K Leagues framed and hanging, but I am so underwhelmed with what he has so far for his solo show.

I agree, Froi.  What doesn't cease to amaze me, though, is that no matter how much crap they put out, it still sells out.  I think people buy Mondo to buy Mondo at this point.  Like this morning, both Matrix and French Collection were sub-par, IMO.  Still sold out.  And the scavengers are still selling their gear on Ebay.  So kudos to Mondo where kudos are due.  They could even sell out of toilet paper.

And I haven't seen the Taylors yet.  Where can I see them?

I'm sure people on EB are going crazy over them ;)

http://www.mondoarchive.com

The above is a good starting point Rich, although it's not comprehensive unfortunately (some gallery shows and older prints are missing). It's also a little scant on details.

I think FallenAngel on here has a site, but I think he stopped updating it. The expresso beans database is comprehensive, but it's more useful when you have a specific artist or film in mind (it's a bit big to provide an overview unless someone knows some clever tricks I don't).

Yeah there is no complete Db .. Mine was the closest until I stopped updating it. Even the official MondoArchive is missing a good number of the really old stuff. I think they didn't want to post stuff that may have been printed without licensing. I still have a copy of my site offline if anyone is interested in it feel free to shot me a PM.

You guys are high on groupthink.  Children of Men  and Das Boot are both nice.  Fight Club is awesome if that is Meatloaf waiting to go in...

Meh, to each their own. I might have slightly liked the Children of Men non-variant if the font wasn't straight off The Thing one sheet.
Looks like it was also used on Fight Club. If the wording didn't tell me what movie it was I might have mistaken it for a Psycho print.
All just my opinion, of course.

Taylor is one of Mondo's most talented assets, but also one of the most productive.  I think he should take a chill pill for a while, not do so much all the time and go back to what made him so great.

... straight off The Thing one sheet.

Not sure what I was thinking, as that looks nothing like it. I guess it's more like the Pink Floyd The Wall font, but whatever.

Too many prints.

Not unique enough or high enough quality.

Also, they need some new licenses. How many Marvel Universe, Halloween, Alien(s), Friday the 13th and Drive posters do we really need?  There is some really cool stuff from Mondo and others already out there, and anything new is measured against those.  For me to replace my Miller or Taylor Halloween, the next Halloween better be f#ck$g amazing!

Very little they have done this year outside of the Durieux and the Disney show has made me look twice.

But I guess they still sold out, so cha-ching$.  No need to change anything.
