I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with this piece. Disgusting, I say.
I have a mint $50 bill that I will gladly give you to remove that monstrosity from your sight. Seriously, the printing on this bill is outstanding - I've never seen its equal. You won't be disappointed.
Let me know where to send it and I'll do likewise. thumbup ;)

You can send it to me. That would be mighty fine!  I'll put the JB in the closet for a few days and then take the wife out to dinner.  You are such a pal!

The Shere Khan image is kinda cool, but the spirit of the film was the relationship between Baloo and Mowgli.
That is where I think many of these alternative prints fail -- they missed the point.
Am I wrong?

Yep.  I think this reimagining catches the film rather well.  Kaa has just hypnotized Mogli as Shere Khan waits to interrupt... It's the essence of the film that there really are dangers in the world and you have to grow up... Balloon is a great character but I always took the story of the jungle book to be more about the transition from being care free to the understanding that life is fragile, that there are real threats in the world... Like Shere Khan...

Except for the songs, it's a mid-level Disney effort.

Agree.

Its a blah film. The poster is more than it deserves, IMO.

Not at all, Ted.

Why is your opinion and observation any less valid? Let alone flat out wrong?

You know that the Jungle Book is an actual book right?  There has been an underlying meaning since the late 1800s. Ted has touched on perhaps the underlying tones of friendships in life but in reality the story resounds the fact that we are all on our own and sometimes even our best and most capable associations or friends in life can't help us from the dangers that be...

Wrong?  No not really... That's what makes literature great - we can all take what we need from it!

Thanks T!  :) I know what you meant about Baloo... Actually one of the reasons I like the Moss so much is that there is no Baloo... No happy go lucky bear.  I've always thought the jungle book had two distinct parts... The time of Wolves, Panther, and good ol Baloo and then Shere Khan and danger! This print really brought back that second part of the story for me!

Well, sure you can!

Note: that's obviously not mine because 1) it's in a frame (as opposed to on the floor) and 2) I just ordered it.  ;D
The pic was taken from here: http://collider.com/martin-ansin-kevin-tong-gallery-show-images/
Lots of pics from the actual show in there.

Thanks, Rosa!

That was one of the prints that I really liked, but wasn't willing to pay the ebay markup for.
I wasn't planning on purchasing any of the prints that were released today, but I watch anyways.
All of a sudden I see that print on the screen and was like 'WTF?' Clickity click and now it's mine. Mwahahaha! ;D
