Tucker?

Stew

Hope not.

Might be LA CONFIDENTIAL, which could be amazing.

While certainly not the home run that this title deserves, I find these two from today very cool and very fun. Love the retro vibe and colors. Much better than the Tong take last year to be sure.
Dig the slight changes on the variant (especially The Thorwalds) with the last names over the windows too.

^ or.....folks could just collect Mondo as they see fit, since that is basically their mission statement, the whole bringing back film art thing...

Wish I knew somebody in Austin to get all this good stuff.  Thought about flying down there but too expensive. Durieux is just crushing it....

No interest in the rest.

Are there enough in that stack, to go around?

How long did the online sale last today?

I paid close to triple initial sale price on Saturday to a flipper for these fab prints, all variants except Vertigo (because I think the reg is superior).  The Expresso Mondo nerds claim that Birds and BTTF variants won't even make it to online sale.

^ 'poster nerd' civil war?

Birds and BTTF variants are gone, and I hear that the RW variant stack is extremely small, not sure if they even make it for the online drop.

Just beautiful work. LD is the best artist working in the Mondo stable at this point. His line hatching and shading is second to none.

And I agree, the Vertigo reg > variant hands down.

I cant argue that LD isn't talented .. other than BTTF none of these titles really speak to me and the title work on BTTF ruins it for me. I feel more like its an art print than a movie poster now. Which isnt a bad thing, Im just hoping for a iconic BTTF poster that comes close tot he iconic 1S.

I think it complements the 1S well. Not sure it could ever be surpassed anyway, so why try?

You must be anti-Hitchcock too.

I don't think you have to be anti-Hitchcock to not like those prints.  It's all a matter of taste and perspective.  For instance, I hate the Vertigo and Psycho prints but I love the Rear Window and Birds ones.  I love Jaws but I hate Frankenstein (even though I own it).  If I love and hate the work of the same artist, I can totally understand why someone wouldn't like him at all.

Sure, but you like a few of the Hitch prints.
I think all of LDs Hitch designs compliment the existing paper on the films very well, and work very well as screenprints, an extremely hard medium to work on.

Anyone here buy any of Jay Shaws stuff? I guess I just don't "get" his art style.

I like that A Field in England poster, but I picked up the one sheet from the Drafthouse website for $7.99 so don't need a screen print - http://drafthousefilms.com/film/a-field-in-england

He gets a lot of hate, but Mondo are all about cult and I like some of the stuff he tackles and produces...even if I don't often buy it myself (I like to look and think about it, just not own it). I quite like the variety of cult releases mixed with blockbuster releases.

Nope.  So far this year I've only purchased 3 Durieux and that's it.  Very happy with them, especially The Birds.  Everything else Mondo has put up has left me cold.  Really cold for the most part, like today's offerings.
