Pass for me.  If some Polish or Czech artists had done it in the 80s, I would have been all over these pieces.  There is something to say about an artist who hasn't seen the movies and tries to give a unique rendition of what those movies are supposed to be.  I would pretty much accept anything as long as it is visually pleasing.  But to do it years later and after everyone has seen these movies doesn't work for me.

That Jaws is great, the E.T. is derivative....

I like both! I think the Jaws is really cool...liking the travel poster feel, colours, typography and lack of shark (bizarrely). Even though ET is obvious and derivative, I'm a sucker for the film and the moon/bike imagery.

I would wager that Spielberg probably did not have to rely on the drop.

For him, it could have been a simple phone call (by one of his peeps) and 25 were peeled from the stack, prior to the drop being announced.

I whiffed on the Stout.    

I watched the entire show.  As they were released, I really wasn't terribly interested in any of them until that last Django Stout.  The Mondo site was a crawl at any point a print was dropping.  

In order to ease the pain of my failure, I picked up this recent Horkey print.


I don't know how you do it T.  Gratz on your scores.  At least I still have the ultra-slim hope of being picked by Sarah in the lottery for the Django.

Those Horkeys are really cool.  If I didn't hate snakes, I'd get them for sure.
