Hi Guys

came across this poster before I make an offer  I need expert advice as to the Authenticity.     it's a Rocky 40 x 60 but not sure as in the photo I attached what the mp4549 is after the NSS 77/2 so appreciate any feedback. regards

I own one of these.  For some reasons, I never took a picture of it, so it's not on my website.  Mine doesn't have the MP#, which I have never seen on any of my 40x60ins.  I have no idea what it is, so I'd be a little cautious.  On the other hand, I don't see why anyone would reproduce a Rocky 40x60in.  Is it on thicker paper?

I checked a few copies online and none of them have that number.  But like I said, if this had been reproduced, there would be more floating around.

MP with a number after it is the code for Masterprint, which is printed at the bottom of the licensed movie poster Masterprints produced by David Graveen for many years.
But all the reprints are 11x17, are you sure about the size of this poster?
Here's a link to one on ebay and you can clearly see the number at the bottom

Would genuine 40x60s from that era also be folded?

The image might be suggesting yours is rolled.

T, Crow, is that a valid question?

US 40x60s were rolled.  They are printed on cardstock and are basically ruined if they are folded.  Not so with the UK counterpart from the same time period.
Schan
Thanks.  You know what you did.
