Douable but expensive service I would guess. It would take 3-4 hours to remove, clean and prep a poster that had been mounted.

No. You would be able to tell. Depends on poster though as a caveat. Modern poster may be more difficult. When I use to meddle in that stuff I removed a hard days night from foam core. Cleaned it all up and it came out like any regular poster. I didn’t even end up backing it. Actually I don’t know what happened. Probably in my “to be backed” stack.
