Kovacs01:  Wow! NICE stuff. I think I have that BEASTMASTER--which I totally dig-- and thought I had AMAZONS...but NOPE! So color me envious of that beauty. WOW! Those are rare, too. You NEVER see them.

Heather_Mason_SH3 Thanks for the info. That double feature with THE VALS...I saw that, but avoided, realizing it was a Frolic Pictures release. (I've purchased several from them---such crappy quality. They MUST be bootlegs, right?)

T: I hear you about posting. I do it now as a record for myself (on my own blog. I just recopy it here to share if anyone is interested.) as, unlike you, I did not start a spreadsheet and if it weren't for the posts, I'd never remember what I have and don't have. But thanks for contributing to the end of the year Best of thing. Your stuff is always top-notch!

BruceH: I wondered if Okie's DRACULA and WOLF MAN had come from your auctions. I guess I know the answer now. Thank YOU for continuing to have such amazing auctions.

Starling: You've always had such nice things to share in the past. Any hope of adding anything to this year's list?

Pelham: Welcome to the board and to the hobby. Even though you are a self-described "noob," we'd still love to see some of your locandias and Belgians. What are some of your favorites from the past year? Share them if you can/would like. Really--we would all like to see them. We were all "noobs" at one time. CHEERS!

Thank you Monster, Bruce, Starling, and Pelham!

Monster: Watch for bat delivery and the full moon out there on the island! Oops, I also should have counted the number of fairies on that Polish poster, eh?!

Bruce: I'll always be indebted to you for the sewer pipe solution! I'm still surprised it fit in my minivan.

Starling: I'll be sure to post a Bordertown hanging picture! I'm with Monster on betting you have something to show for 2021, too!

Pelham: Those Belgians sure had some pretty art on their posters.  Many, many gems.

Kovacs: Do you know who is the artist on The Beast of War?

Heather Mason: Thanks for the answers.  I'm wondering if Judy's was a West Coast store?  I don't recall them in middle America where I lived then. In our malls, we did have the original version of Orange Julius and Hot Dog on a Stick (which I just learned started in Santa Monica, CA).

Okie

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! This year, I was able to add some quality paper to my Dietrich/von Sternberg collection:

Started the year off right with this lobby. Love that lascivious look in Dietrich's eyes. NO ONE does erotic boredom like Dietrich:

I have had this window card title FIVE TIMES over the last decade if you can believe it. Each time, I upgraded the condition slightly. This is the best condition of the five I've owned, and I got it for the least amount of money by far, go figure.

I didn't even know this jumbo lc existed! But as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to have it. Morocco is truly von Sternberg's love letter to Dietrich. Later films get more harshly jaded and visually abstract...and dare I say, exciting?

More languid sexiness. Shanghai Express:

Last pick up of the year (well...we will see how the emovie auction shakes out haha). This Crawford still is from 1932!! And yet so modern it could be in a recent issue of Vogue. Incredible. A rare instance of Clarence Bull out Hurrell-ing Hurrell :):

Thanks for all the paper inspiration in 2021 everyone! Here's to a wonderful 2022...

Starling, What rare and wonderful Dietrich paper you found this year!  I think you also win the best image description of 2021: Erotic Boredom. On another firestarter: Ms Joan...
Very nice, Okie

Starling: Zowie--NICE stuff. I can tell you are very happy with it all (and rightly so). "Last pick up of the year (well...we will see how the emovie auction shakes out haha)." I hear you there. I've already picked up a couple...and the auction week has just started. Oh my!
Thanks for posting.

Happy holidays everyone!

I don't, but I'm a fan.  It's a preetty good little film too, if you haven't seen it.
