I keep losing track of all the auctions and other movie poster events, so I put together this public "Movie Poster Events" Google Calendar:

Here is the link.

The full address is:

http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=moviepostercollectors%40gmail.com&ctz=America/New_York

This is a public calendar.  I'll try to update it regularly and I can authorize others to update it as well.  I've put the regular auctions in and also some special events - the upcoming Christie's auction, Coys, Emovie and Heritage signature auctions, etc

Please post in this thread if you think something should be added.

Check your times. You have our Tuesday auctions ending at 7 PM, which they do in CST, but you have Sunday ending at 4 PM, which they do, but in EST!

How about fixing that, and then making them all have a time zone included (I would guess EST would be the one most people would know).

But nicely done!

OK fixed all times to EST and added more detailed descriptions - click the event to see the description.  Unfortunately, there is no option to allow multiple time zones in the public calendar.

Nah - somebody loaned me a new toy.  Now I'll have to download some books and expand my mind beyond movie poster world:

Mel.. very good job, but I wold make an addition to the calendar

I think that some logos should be included, and most especially the MPB logo. I also suggest that all logos be no more than 3 pixels in height, but that the MPB logog should be 150 pixels in height & 350 in width.. Get to it.. now!!

Dominic Winter in UK is having a relatively small auction of movie posters on Thursday 16 December 2010 commencing at 11.00am local time.

Some of the stuff is decent, like the printers proof quad for Back to the Future:

Cameo auction on Thursday (early morning US).  Range is mediocre to exceptional (Goldfinger).  Several older Alamo posters there.

Saving Private Ryan rolled one sheet (estimate £35-50) sold for £30... I thought the original d/s versions were quite rare and sought after? Don't know what this version was tho!

The Jaws 2 sunset teaser folded one sheet (estimate £150-180) sold for £95... I didn't have any condition reports on any of these which might have helped!

Will stop now unless anything interesting happens, just though some people might be interested Tongue

Thanks for all the updates.  That's about what the Goldfinger sold for at Heritage's last auction.  The BFI re-release for Italian Job is ridiculous.  It's a cool poster but way overpriced for a recent re-release.
