Good find HC.  You got skillzzz, man.  You're like the "Howard Carter" of poster collectors, always digging up rarities....

Agree big time. Always looking forward to the next post.

Cool poster Stew!

By the way, I don't own this, but did anyone see this uber rare style B0 Apocalypse Now sell at Profiles in History recently?  Crazy poster... I thought it was fitting for this thread.

http://www.profilesinhistory.com/items/hollywood-memorabilia-auction-43/apocalypse-now-large-format-japanese-b0-size-poster-rare-marlon-brando/napalm-style.html

Sold for $2124 after BP.

I dig this a lot. I think it would look great hanging next to my "Charlie don't surf" B0
I never knew this even existed.

Nor did I.  I was actually surprised it went for so "little" given how rare it must be.  And yes, it would be crazy to see the two B0s displayed side by side...

I love the background and i love the font...but the Brando image is just too clean and rugged compared to to the actuall portrayal by Brando in the movie.....

I knew, but didnt know about that auction.  In the end, that is probably a good thing, because I dont think my wallet or my wife would be too happy with me if I did.

Great artwork on that one Paul...strange why such an Army would be raised just because there is a chick wearing a negligee.

You would be amazed how cheap this was. I know it's not a premium title, but it's an original 1951 poster that's nice to look at.

You couldn't get a modern print from South bank market this cheap!

They are great...was it Mosquito Squadron or 633 Squadron that inspired George Lucas Star Wars space battle scenes ?
Anyone know?

Exceptional WWII 22"x28" propaganda (non-movie) posters that Heritage sold last night (not really sure why they sell these in their "movie poster" auctions):

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the start of WWI and a salute to all our veterans before and after.

WWI Who Leads Our National Army three sheet printed somewhere around 1917 I believe.

It actually is considering it is nearly 100 years old. Paper is still pretty supple. It does have a few minor issues but most importantly there is no paper loss.
