Boris Karloff and Tod Slaughter were always my two favorite stars. I met Karloff once, in London in 1966 - but Slaughter died when I was 15, and I only discovered him years later, in 1966/67, when I got some lobby cards from Forrest J Ackerman. He (Slaughter) was utterly forgotten then, and for decades the materials from his movies were hard-to-find, but unexpensive. Now, they are ultra-rare AND expensive!

LO STRANGOLATORE ("The Strangler"), probably the only Italian release of a Tod Slaughter movie. I found this "manifesto" not in Rome or Milan, but at a movie fair in Paris, and the seller was Spanish! The movie is naturally "Crimes at the Dark House", probably my favorite. Sorry, the still is fuzzy, but I'll try to make a better one soon.
