Authentication of Rolled Sound of Music Poster
« on: May 03, 2018, 01:01:11 PM »
Does anyone know if the pre-award "The Sound Of Music" is available rolled? I have seen many that were folded but not aware if it came rolled.

Here is the ebay link:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/323201034478?ViewItem=&item=323201034478

The seller, curlykong, is Ken Schacter, the "owner" of the infamous Metropolis 3 sh that was seized and later sold in a bankruptcy auction.

It's a reprint / reproduction / recreation / fake.

He does have genuine posters but his pricing is all over the place. It appears that nothing is less than $75. and anything even remotely good is overpriced. Some of it way overpriced.

If you know who Ken Schacter is, then you probably know why his pricing is as it is.

And Ive never read or heard that he sold (or was accused of selling) fakes or repros. So it would be interesting to see what his POV on that piece is.

This is 100% an original WC and cabmangray has no idea what he is talking about.
This is the Todd-AO version that was used for theaters showing the film in 70mm.
It is not trimmed, and this is the size they were produced.
