for lack of a better pic i posted the one from Pinterest. How does one go about authenticating this? I have not yet seen the poster in question (but i hope to in a day or so) and it does not appear to have copyright notice, or else it cannot be seen in the pic.

ANy ideas? Again just to be clear, i will be able to see this in real life so just wondering what to look for.

This almost looks like a locally printed poster, with the uneven font and lettering not exactly lined up. So a good chance there would be no printer's info, etc, as the example you linked to shows.

Well it’s a black power propaganda poster and if original it would have been printed by the Black Panthers themselves, not unlikely at their own printing workshop. But they were probably not worried about copyright and there will be a gazillion reprints and imitations around, some actual legit posters, some printed to be sold in head-shops etc. I’d say to look for does the paper feel 40+ years old? Does it look like screen printing or possibly stencil or offset? Any digital method is a dead giveaway of course. And is there any provenance? No bullshit like “I found it at a thrift store” but actual, verifiable facts. Personally I would only buy this kind of thing from a respected art dealer, and even then chances are probably 50/50 it’s fake.

Im sorry I did not save the original link to where that poster mentioned above went for 8000. I'll try to find it. But here's another example of one that went way over the suggest value:

here is one of the type that i saw go for 8000:
